Twitch redesigned its entire platform this week and – unfortunately for the company – Dr Disrespect didn't shy away from letting the world know how he felt about their new typeface: "Roobert."

Twitch's recent overhaul has been met with mixed reception from its users. Criticism over the new changes is varied, with many users complaining about not only the font, but also the new layout and colors. The most common requests are the following:

• Revert the font back to "Helvetica Neue"

• In "Dark Mode," the black should be changed to gray to make it easier on the eyes

• Bring back the follower count and information to a channel's main page

Some streamers have decided to take a comedic approach to the drama instead. World of Warcraft Classic streamer Esfand recently tweeted out a "helpful" PSA,  spreading "awareness" of the fact that you can change the font of a Twitch chat by using BTTV, a third-party chrome extension. While the tweet calls attention to the useful BTTV plugin, "Wingdings" will certainly provide... less-than-stellar results.

It's not all doom-and-gloom however, as multiple users are defending the new update. A Reddit user by the name of pdazler argues that "as soon as Twitch tries something new [users] flip out," but given a few months, people was become "accustomed to the new look" and will forget about the whole thing. It also speaks volumes that the post prefaces with "unpopular opinion" in its title.

The community is clearly split over the acceptance of the platform's changes. Regrettably for Twitch, Dr Disrespect is on the side of the naysayers. When a veteran streamer makes their criticisms of the platform publicly known, Twitch is put in a difficult position. Nevertheless, those who know the Doc will notice a certain level of self-aware irony in many of the streamer's more aggressive remarks.

Whether or not the Two-Time meant the tweet to be humorous remains up for debate, but either way, it certainly fans the flames. It will be interesting to see if Twitch actually responds to the wave of feedback that has sprung up, especially now that one of their top-tier streamers has thrown his hat into the ring.
