Dr. Mario World is still a thing, and it's delving even deeper into the lore of Super Mario Bros. for its characters. Unfortunately, Nabbit from New Super Mario Bros. U has received his medical license and will be shoving pills down patients' throats soon.

Nabbit debuted in New Super Mario Bros. U in stages where the player had to pursue him. He has since appeared in other Mario games, including Mario Party 10, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, and Super Mario Maker. The official Dr. Mario World Twitter page has announced that Nabbit is coming to the game as a playable character and will be available in an update released on April 2.

Dr. Mario World has been scouring the depths of the Super Mario Bros. canon in search of new characters, but unlike baby/fire flower versions of existing characters, Nabbit is actually a decent choice. It's unclear how he got his medical license with his penchant for thieving and it's likely that he will be swiping the morphine to sell on the streets of the Mushroom Kingdom, but at least he's not an ice flower version of one of the regular Super Mario Bros. cast.
