Dragon Age: Origins might be fantastic (the best game in the series, according to some), but it definitely isn't winning any beauty contests. Inquisition, on the other hand, still holds up fantastically eight years on, easily one of the most gorgeous games BioWare has ever brought us. So why not have the best of both worlds?

Dragon Age modder Lilhunnykt is doing just that, bringing Inquisition character models into Origins. The results are brilliant and surprisingly seamless, with characters such as Alistair, Cullen and Leliana looking much better, with far more detail and charm in their models.

Lilhunnykt's first mod of this nature was one for Morrigan, bringing her head mesh into Origins. After that, Alistair and Leliana were released.

Not to leave out the other romance option, Zevran has been given an alternate skin mesh too. This, however, is totally original, given that Zev is the only one of the four not to appear in Inquisition.

All of them come with alternate younger variants, since their Inquisition meshes are ten in-game years older. Not that any of them are ageing poorly, mind. Defeating an archdemon does wonders for your skin, apparently.

Most recently, Lilhunnykt has released a face mesh package for Cullen, Isabela, and Flemeth. They don't come with younger alternate skins, given that they already look pretty age-appropriate. Hell, Cullen has spent the series ageing in reverse, so using his Inquisition face in Origins is way more lore friendly.

Speaking of which, all of these mods have the added bonus of addressing any inconsistencies across face models as the series went on. As character models improved, BioWare began adding more detail to the main cast's faces, making them quite different from their first appearances. Therefore, these mods keep everything consistent, so Alistair won't suddenly grow cheekbones over the course of the series.

All of the meshes are downloadable via Nexus Mods. Dragon Age: Origins is available on PC via both Steam and EA Play.
