Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball series focuses on the adventures of Son Goku. Master Roshi trained the young Saiyan to become one of the strongest fighters in the known universes. While training is Goku's primary focus, his schooling is often interrupted by other issues around Earth. The threats of aliens, magic users, and monsters may appear to be too much for a young boy. Goku's rarely alone. He always has his friends by his side: Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, and Chi-Chi.

Chi-Chi's introduction into the series helped Goku grow up. He was no longer a boy who spent all his days training. Now, he had something else to fight for. As the pair evolved from childhood friends to something more, Goku had to take additional roles. He was a champion fighter but also a husband and eventually, a father. Goku has often been criticized for being an absent father. When he did spend time with them, it was often training.

While the Son children expressed an interest in being like their father, Chi-Chi had to maintain a balance. She wanted to ensure that her sons grew up as well-educated men. It takes some convincing, but Chi-Chi isn't so strict that she'll keep the boys at home if Earth is in danger.

Goku has never stopped fighting. Fans enjoy watching him tackle new forms and befriend enemies. At first glance, Chi-Chi holds her husband back. Some fans don't understand why Chi-Chi is so mean to her family. Her stern ways are often misinterpreted, but we're here to set the record straight. This spoiler-filled list gives some insight on the Princess-turned-housewife Chi-Chi.
