With a series spanning all the way from the '80s that is still going strong to this very day, there's bound to be hundreds upon hundreds of characters. Dragon Ball is an absolute monster of a franchise within anime and manga and games like Dragon Ball FighterZ are tributes to this beloved franchise.

We're now in the third season of Dragon Ball FighterZ with Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku being the new DLC additions to fight alongside previously added fighters like Gogeta and Videl. There's been a good amount of DLC characters thus far, but there are still three unconfirmed characters left in season three that have fans speculating.

10 WANT: Master Roshi

Master Roshi may be a 300-year-old pervert geezer, but the creator of the Kamehameha should not be underestimated. During the events of the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super, Roshi showed that even a human as old as he still has the capabilities to duke it out with the very best.

Master Roshi would add another sparse human character to FighterZ's roster of Saiyans, aliens, and Gods, and would likely function similarly to the other Z fighters such as Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien. He'd have an obvious focus on the Kamehameha, since he created it and all, and this could actually turn Roshi into a huge threat with how good beams are within FighterZ.

9 DON'T WANT: Turles

Movie characters aren't immune to DLC slots in any way, as seen with the additions of characters like Broly, Gogeta, Cooler, and Bardock. Gaining another character from a Dragon Ball movie would be fine and dandy, but someone like Turles would be just as bad as adding in another Goku.

Even though he isn't related to Goku in any way, he looks nearly identical to him, and wouldn't have enough unique attacks to feel like his own unique character. There are plenty of other Saiyan warriors to choose from, and adding in Turles would mean adding in a 9th Goku-esque fighter.

8 WANT: Raditz

Now, unlike Turles, Raditz is a Saiyan that would make a great addition to the FighterZ cast. We've already gotten Nappa and Base Vegeta, so there's a Raditz shaped hole in the Saiyan Saga portion of the FighterZ roster. While he may be insufferably weak compared to other characters, if Krillin can beat Beerus in a 1-on-1 fight, then Raditz should have no trouble at all.

He's a fan-favorite character from the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, but his early demise left a lot to be desired with his character development. Having him as FighterZ DLC would give him the opportunity he needs to shine.

7 DON'T WANT: Yajirobe

Atop Korin Tower lives the most fierce swordsman on Planet Earth, who was strong enough to take down a Saiyan Great Ape in one mighty swing of a sword. All memes aside, Yajirobe is one of the weakest characters shown in Dragon Ball, and he’d greatly prefer going to Golden Corral with Goku to obliterate every amount of food that leaves the kitchen.

There are a few attacks he can do, but it’s just difficult to imagine him working in FighterZ as well as other DLC characters have. He appears in titles like Budokai Tenkaichi 3, but his moveset ended up lacking in personality and originality.

6 WANT: Arale

As far as gag characters go, FighterZ’s closest options would be Captain Ginyu or Nappa, but they only achieve this title from how pathetic they appear next to Godly beings like Beerus or Zamasu. Arale is from another of Akira Toriyama’s works and appears very rarely in Dragon Ball to break the fourth wall or add some needed comedic material.

In Dragon Ball Super, Arale takes down Vegeta easier than Goku destroys a buffet and punches the planet clean in half. She’d obviously have to be toned down quite a bit for a fighting game, but no fighter is complete without a fan-favorite joke pick.

5 DON'T WANT: King Vegeta

We’ve already got a few different assorted colors of Vegeta to go around in FighterZ, so what about beard Vegeta? King Vegeta is a character that hasn’t gotten much spotlight in the anime or manga, so finding suitable content for him as a character would prove to be a bit difficult.

If Vegeta fans truly are that desperate for another iteration, Majin Vegeta or Baby Vegeta would fit miles better, as they each have their own unique attacks and story arcs to go off of. Eating your vegetables is important, but balancing your choices is just as vital.

4 WANT: Bulma

Bulma is an Earthling who lacks the ability to fly, control Ki, and fight in any capacity besides loading up unfortunate souls with bullets. Bulma is, however, the world’s finest scientist capable of manufacturing amazing tech and robots to assist the Z fighters.

Mech-based characters are certainly not a new phenomenon in fighting games, as seen with characters like Tron Bonne in Marvel vs. Capcom, Bowser Jr. in Super Smash Bros.,  or Emperor Pilaf in Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Bulma certainly has the capabilities to build some amazing tech that can allow her to fight alongside her husband and son, and she would be a vastly different character from what we've seen so far in FighterZ.

3 DON'T WANT: Goku (SSG)

Black, Gold, Blue, White, Red...Is Goku going to eventually don every color of the rainbow? In FighterZ, the only color Goku seems to be missing is red from his Super Saiyan God form, and we hope it’ll stay that way. This isn’t to say that there isn’t enough that the Super Saiyan God form could give to create a new character, but we’ve had enough of Goku in FighterZ.

Looking at the differences between his multiple different variations, they mostly use the exact same character model and animations with different attacks and playstyles to set them apart. This isn’t an inherent problem, but when you’re able to make multiple different teams all consisting of different Gokus, it may be time to stop milking the franchise’s mascot.

2 WANT: Omega Shenron

With the introduction of GT Goku, Dragon Ball GT characters are all fair game for a DLC slot. One of the more interesting characters in GT and one of the coolest villains in the series is Omega Shenron, adding another fan-favorite villain character into the fray.

Looking at his anime, manga, and video game appearances, Omega Shenron has a staggering amount of signature attacks to craft a unique move list, and he has the potential to be one of the flashier fighters in the game, as we’ve seen with other impressive big-body characters like DBS Broly. The Dragon Balls are quite difficult to obtain in an actual match and are mostly forgotten, so putting the “dragon” back in Dragon Ball with Omega Shenron would be a more than welcome addition.

1 DON'T WANT: Chi-Chi

"Bulma is on the list, so why should Chi-Chi get any different treatment?”, you might ask. Well, even though Chi-Chi has shown that she has some pretty impressive physical strength when angered, even activating a form similar to the Kaio-Ken when ____, she lacks a lot of key capabilities that other fighters in the game have.

For one, she’s unable to fly, meaning that giving her a Super Dash would pose a big problem, as well as her not being able to vanish. She also cannot control Ki, so she would lack any sort of energy-based projectiles and this would render the universal Ki Charge ability useless. Unless there are some workarounds to these issues, like having Goten lift up Chi-Chi for a Super Dash, there are other characters that would just work far better.
