Who doesn't love a good meme? I don't think I can wake up and go to work in the morning without looking through at least an hour of memes in bed and then trying to get ready in the 5 minutes I have left before needing to leave the house.

Well, these Dragon Ball Z memes below are the memes you can risk being to work late for, especially for true Dragon Ball fans. The internet is full of hilarious individuals and apparently, many of these individuals love Dragon Ball.

It's no wonder why, I mean, Dragon Ball has been around since the mid-1980s and is still pumping out new content and has just as strong of a following now as it did back then. Although, because the series has lasted so long, it has opened up opportunities for many plot-holes or situations that all fans can really do it laugh at.

The memes below highlight some of the ridiculous situations that have made Dragon Ball awesome. Memes that make fun of some of our favorite characters such as Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, as well as memes that poke at the characters everyone laughs at such as Krillin and Yamcha.

23 No One Touches Kakarot But Me

Vegeta

Vegeta

If somehow you manage to defeat Goku your victory will be short-lived, as the prince of all Saiyan's will put you back in your place. Vegeta has saved his rival and former enemy in Goku many times. The first was against Metal Cooler, then there was against Android 19, after that it was against Golden Frieza, before he also showed up when in the Tournament of Power while Goku lost to Jiren and was about to be eliminated from the battle royal.

Yes, Vegeta has always had Goku's back, and that includes in the early days when Vegeta hated Goku, as he wouldn't let anyone other than him attack the inferior Saiyan. It's funny that Vegeta, one of the people who has wanted to end Goku for the longest, was never able to do so despite beating him in battle twice. Instead, Vegeta actually saved Goku more times than anyone else, which is incredibly ironic. In addition, every time Vegeta did appear in the nick of time, he did is in the most awesome way possible, a trait that only Piccolo has sometimes been able to do better in the early stages of Dragon Ball Z.

22 That's Why I Could Never Do It

Goku

How many times have you tried to do a Kamehameha Wave as a kid and let's be honest, as an adult as well? Honestly, I have tried it more than once or twice, a lot more. Sadly though, I was never able to release my Ki and create Goku's legendary attack. The Kamehameha Wave was first invented by Master Roshi and it took him over 50 years to master it. In addition, characters such as Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Tien, Master Shen, Krillin, and Yamcha have all learned how to use it as well since then.

Sadly I and I assume you're not one of those listed fighters who can do it and it's all because you most likely don't have two right hands. That right, if you look closely to Akira Toriyama's work on the original Dragon Ball manga from when Goku was a kid, you may notice that Goku has some abnormal hand placements. Over the years we have seen many issues or consistencies in the Dragon Ball series but Goku having two right hands at times has to be one of the funniest. I'm not sure if having two left hands will also allow you to use Goku's iconic attack but I won't be telling the guy I trade my left hand to for his right hand that information.

21 Help...Me....!

Future Trunks

This is the issue with time travel, especially if you're an awesome Super Saiyan who just ended a space tyrant threatening the earth with ease, while your father sat there shivering in his crummy pink T-shirt doing nothing next to your young cool-as-heck future mother who is less than impressed with her love interests work. Okay, maybe this is a bit too specific and probably isn't the only issue surrounding time travel but you get the picture, just don't do it, as it's not as helpful as you might think.

To make matter worse, Future Trunks didn't even help his own timeline by going back to the past so that he can warn Goku and the Z-Fighters about the Android, as well as Goku's heart-virus. All he did was make an alternative timeline and literally make no difference to the people having to say goodbye in his timeline. Oh well, at least it was fun to watch, especially this scene where you can see an impressed Bulma unknowingly going after her future son in a weird situation that is usually normal in something like Game of Thrones and now Dragon Ball Z.

20 Yep, You Have No Chance

Android 18

How many times have you liked a girl that was way above your league and it didn't help that everyone in your way was well above your league as well? Well, that's exactly what's happening here in the meme above. I mean, Android 18 is one of the most attractive female characters in Dragon Ball while the others standing in your way of getting her are even more notorious.

I mean if the girl I liked was the daughter of the Legendary Super Saiyan in Broly I wouldn't even bother, and I haven't even started to talk about the other guys. Meanwhile, Android 18's brother is Future Trunks, an awesome character from the future who can transform into a Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2 and his new Rage form in Dragon Ball Super isn't something you want to mess with either. Meanwhile, he ex is the prince of all Saiyan's and arguably the second strongest mortal in Universe 7 at the moment. Then there is Goku, who has surpassed the man who has surpassed the Gods. Let's just say that if you got lucky and managed to get through the other guys, you're done now, especially because you're just Chiaotzu, a fighter that even Yamcha can beat.

19 I'd Sleep Easy Too

Goku

In all fairness I don't think Goku intended to put so many people's lives in danger when he asked Zeno to host another tournament but this time between all the universes. Goku desire to be the best and fight the strongest fighters can sometimes get him into trouble and when the grand Priest told everyone that the losers of the Tournament of Power, which was Goku's idea, will all be erased; people started to panic. Obviously, Goku didn't ask for the erasing part rule, all he wanted to do was fight people but all of the universes didn't understand this when they were forced to take part in the battle royal.

In the end, it turns out that Goku actually saved the day, as the two Zeno's would have erased all of the eight low-mortal-level universes for poor god management. This tournament was a way for them to survive and that the Zeno's originally were going to just destroyed them instead of giving them a chance to redeem themselves. This makes Goku a hero, which means that this meme doesn't make sense anymore, however, we have to take into account that it was made before we were told of Zeno's original plans.

18 It's All In The Name

This is a classic, a meme that has just as much wit in it as a 15-year-old handing down the greatest "that's what she said" joke of all time in front of the whole class. It just works but I suppose you need to be at least 18 for this joke (see what I did there?).

Krillin has been at the forefront of laughter from the Dragon Ball community for years now with Team Four Star's Dragon Ball Z Abridged not helping Krillin's reputation with his Onewd Counter. As a result, Krillin isn't the most respectable character in the series, with only the ridiculously useless Yamcha being more laughable.

However, Krillin did gain some respect by marrying Android 18 after meeting her and it has to be Krillin's greatest moment in Dragon Ball Z, as all his other moments didn't seem to go exactly to plan. Despite all of Krillin's flaws, this is arguably the strongest human on earth and apparently capable of somehow spending his life with a robot. Now, that's something that Goku or any other Saiyan has ever been able to do.

17 Why Even Bother Yamcha?

Yamcha

It has been a while since Yamcha has been a relevant character. You're going to have to go back to the early days of Dragon Ball where the thief was head over heels in love with Bulma and wanted to destroy Goku for him to be relevant. Yes, technically Yamcha was important in the early stages of Dragon Ball Z but he died fast and didn't do much at all. Think about it, Yamcha was obliterated easily by a Saiberman during Nappa and Vegeta's attack, was pierced through the chest by Doctor Gero and later quit fighting.

Yes, Yamcha was all the action in Dragon Ball before that as well, but his track record isn't great, as he hasn't ever beaten a high ranked fighter or even minion in his entire life. Sorry, Yamcha but for you to be a relevant character again something magical must happen, which even the Dragon Balls can't grant you, especially since most of the fighters who are relevant in Dragon Ball Super now are at a level that competes with the gods. Maybe if you read Yamcha's side spin-off series you might get a funny glimpse of Yamcha being useful again but that's about as close to relevant as he sadly gets.

16 Yep, This Makes Total Sense

Vegeta

Now, don't lie, you have noticed that the fighters in Dragon Ball Super seem a little weaker than what they did in Dragon Ball Z haven't you? I mean as good as Dragon Ball Super is, the fact that Saiyan's no longer need years of intense training to awaken the Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 transformations is an indication of this change. All you now apparently have to do is grasp the hidden power in your upper back and boom; you're a Super Saiyan.

Gone are the days of intense training in ridiculous conditions such as 400x Earth gravity like Vegeta is enduring above. It's strange because all the Z-Fighters are now stronger than their counterparts from Dragon Ball Z, with them now even surpassing the level of gods. However, for some reasons, their training to achieve this power seems less impressive than what they were enduring in Dragon Ball Z. So, as you can see from the cartoon Jackie Chan lookalike, it's all pretty confusing when you take a brief moment to think about it all, but oh well, the Dragon Ball Super series is still good, so we ignore the minor issues.

15 Well, When You Think About It Like That...

Goku vs Piccolo

Goku was roughly in his twenties when he took on this three-year-old and put him in a near death state. Well, in all fairness, this was the son of an evil demon who wanted to take over the earth, with his son not only having the same goal but also being ridiculously stronger than his father. In addition, this wasn't just any evil world-conquering three-year-old, this was an alien three-year-old with the body of the thirty-year-old man. Also, because it was an alien it doesn't really count, does it? Well, I don't think it does anyway.

In all seriousness, Piccolo was a huge threat at the time, with the evil half of Kami not only trying to end Goku during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, as well as all his friends. Being only born 3 years earlier during Demon King Piccolo's last breath, the young Piccolo was only three-years-old when he attacked. However, apparently, Namekian's grow a lot faster than what Saiyan's or humans do, although, for some reason, this fact changes for Dende who still looks like a teenager after at least 10 years on earth. Anyway, this was actually an epic battle and one of the greatest fights in the original Dragon Ball series.

14 Vegeta Needs To Get That Arm Looked At

Vegeta

In all fairness, every anime and especially in Dragon Ball somehow hurt their arm when they are being defeated. Furthermore, we have seen Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyan's, hurting his arm more than anyone else. It's possible that it's due to that kick from Android 18 back in the early days of the Android saga of Dragon Ball Z, which broke Vegeta's arm never fully healed. However, whatever it is, Vegeta should really stop using that arm for everything. It's clear that Vegeta likely uses his left arm for defense, and it's why he is seen holding it everytime he is losing a fight, as he is probably defending more in those situations.

Fights against Goku, Cell, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, Frieza, and Jiren have all resulted in Vegeta hurting his arm and in all honesty, I don't know how it hasn't fallen off yet. At least we have a clear indication for when Vegeta is outmatched by an opponent. I suppose all habits die hard and even though Vegeta has gone through so much character development in his life, he still can't help but hurt the same arm in almost all his fights.

13 Another Vegeta Joke

Vegeta

Oh Vegeta, if only your son Trunks was able to travel back in time and see how you, a proud Saiyan warrior, were really like when you failed to destroy Goku back on earth all those years ago. Seriously, out of every Saiyan in the series, no other Saiyan has taken more hits or has been beaten more than Vegeta has. Actually, this image of Vegeta cowering away after he was beaten on earth isn't the only time the Saiyan turned his back on the enemy and ran away.

Vegeta did the same on Namek a few times as well and even did it against Goku Black later on in this arc. It's funny how things turn out and how much Vegeta contradicts himself in Dragon Ball, which is likely why Dragon Ball Z Abridged makes fun of him so much. Despite this clear sign of Vegeta not thinking before speaking, he is a pretty strong character and arguably the second greatest warrior in Universe 7. The Prince of all Saiyan's might have a few flaws but he has some pretty big strengths as well and pride is one of those.

12 This Is Why You Should Choose Your Friends Wisely

Goku

Well, this just isn't right. The guy that has saved countless lives time and time again always gets the short end of the stick. Oh, and by the way, that was a pun, as both Frieza and Vegeta are significantly shorter than Goku. Every time Goku has saved someone he thinks that they are more valuable to him than his own life, easily sacrificing himself for others. However, it seems as if the others that he has saved don't treat him with the same respect that he clearly deserves and it's sad, as well as hilarious.

In the images above you can see Goku carefully helping Piccolo after he was taken down by Cell in Dragon Ball Z, while in the image next to that you can see our hero helping Android 18 in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power. Meanwhile, Vegeta's way of helping probably didn't come from a medical book, as you wouldn't see too many doctors handling a patient struggling with a heart attack like that. While Frieza could have used both his free arms or even his tail to stop Goku from falling off the Tournament of Power arena but for some reason decided his foot was best.

11 Gohan Will Never Let This Go

Goku

First of all, I like how Piccolo is the only sane person in the Z-Fighters. Seriously, he is the only one who has a problem sending kids into battle or watching as your son is beaten by a strange robotic mutation that was created by an evil crazy scientist. However, it's all fine, as Gohan's father is there and he is a responsible father who wouldn't let anything bad happen to his son. Okay, that's a lie but at least Goku wasn't dead or training another boy this time right?

I think Gohan has had a pretty tough life with his father disappearing twice and his father also picking to save a regular human in Mr. Satan while Buu was destroying the earth over saving him. In addition, Gohan was takend and trained to fight aliens by another alien who ended his father and his uncle ... And then he was stolen by that same uncle earlier, travelled to out of space to bring back his dads friends who were eliminated in front of Gohan at such a young age by his father's people, before meeting more evil aliens and watching yet another race be completely destroyed before him. It's really something. If that's not enough, his father then sent him off to fight against a robot, who he had just weakened and healed so that his son could fight a fair fight, against a guy trying to eliminate humanity. So, it's no wonder why Gohan might have some hidden hatred for his strange father, as you can see above.

10 Please Gohan, Just Stop...

Oh Gohan, how can someone so cool, someone who showed us so much promise as a child, someone that we have loved and watched grow up, become this weak? Seriously, what the heck Akira Toriyama? When it comes to King Vegeta and Bardock's sons, Bardock is clearly the winner, as his son has surpassed Jiren who is stronger than a God of Destruction. While as for Vegeta, he too it incredibly powerful and has surpassed the gods but is still not strong enough to take on Goku's Ultra Instinct.

However, when it comes to these Saiyan's grandchildren, King Vegeta clearly wons, as his son has long surpassed Gohan. In the early days it was Gohan who was stronger but after years of no training, Future Trunks has beaten him. Yes, Gohan still has his Mystic powers but Trunks has tapped into God Ki and has mixed it with his Super Saiyan form to make a new Super Saiyan Rage transformation. Even if this wasn't a battle of strength and just a fight for who is cooler, Trunks takes this one out by a landslide as well,  with the Great Sayaman being something all Gohan fans try to forget.

9 Nothing Can Take Down A Nokia, Not Even Goku

Jiren

Now, Jiren wasn't the first man to stop a Kamehameha Wave head on with ease, Cooler has done it and so has Broly but when Jiren did it; it was the first time a canon character was able to take on this powerful attack without even breaking a sweat. So, how did Jiren do it? Well, it could be because Jiren is the strongest fighter in Universe 11 or the fact that he has a power that surpasses even a God of Destruction. However, super slow motion footage of the scene revealed that it was a weapon.

As you can see, Jiren was able to stop the blast with nothing but a Nokia mobile and not just any Nokia 3310, arguably the most iconic mobile Nokia has made. this phone can pretty much take out a train (I've seen it in a GTA mod if you don't believe me). Does this mean that Jiren cheated in the Tournament of Power? It most certainly does. Now, this scene did happen before Goku awakened his new transformation and we haven't seen Goku take on a Nokia with Ultra Instinct yet but if we did, I'd expect to see a similar result.

8 Harsh But Justified

Gohan

Earlier I mentioned that Gohan was a damaged child due to a pretty tough life where his father died twice, then picked to save a regular human in Mr. Satan while Buu was destroying the earth over saving his own son. In addition, Gohan was taken and trained to fight aliens by another alien who offed his father and his uncle — as I mentioned early, things go on and on for a bit like this.

Yep, Gohan has had a pretty tough life and after it all, he still managed to come out ok-ish, however, maybe there is still some hidden resentment towards his father for being absent so much. I mean, saying goodbye twice and spending years away from home isn't something that Gohan found too delightful. Overall Goku does love his family and will do anything for them but it's fun to make fun of his flaws sometimes and this is the perfect opportunity. It's an age-old Dragon Ball joke, but it's one worth repeating: Goku really needs to step up his parenting game.

7 Good One Goku

Goku

Well, they are both Goku I suppose. Maybe the real Goku said his goodbyes in Future Trunks' timeline and the Goku now is actually Goku Black in disguise? Okay, Probably not, but you have to admit that Goku essentially organizing a tournament were all the mortals from the losing universes are erased does sound pretty similar to what Goku Black and Zamasu were trying to do in the previous arc of Dragon Ball Super.

Goku Black was Zamasu from a different timeline, which he created after ending his Kai master and taking the time ring. Zamasu then used the Super Dragon Balls to switch bodies with Goku and then used the Saiyan's body to travel through time and attempt to destroy all mortals. Meanwhile, Goku requested that the Zeno's should host a tournament between all the eight universes, which for some reasons Zeno took as "Goku wants me to end everyone." These little childish kids are pretty sinister. You think Gohan's upbringing was bad, can you imagine Zeno's parents. Anyway, this meme pretty much focuses on Goku's accidental Zenor Mortal Plan, which would have caused Zamasu to break down in tears of joy from within his grave.

6 Same Old Goku

Goku
Goku
Goku

Remember that time the earth was in danger of being taken over and destroyed by an evil Android that was stronger than an Ascended Saiyan? Wel, if you do you might remember that Goku faced this evil Android named Cell at the Cell Games first and actually injured, as well as weakened him. Sadly Goku couldn't beat him, and instead decided to allow his son in Gohan to finish off what he couldn't. But at least Goku tired him out a little, which will give Gohan the advantage (that's what everyone thought who was watching Goku encourage his son to fight instead moments before handing Cell a Senzu Bean so that he can heal and have a fair fight to the death with Gohan).

The fate of everyone's lives was at stake but Goku wanted a fair fight, so he essentially fixed the injuries that he inflicted on Cell so Gohan no longer had the advantage. This is a bean that could have been used on, I don't know, his friends or family. Nope, Goku gave it to their enemy, a decision that Dragon Ball Z fans have been criticising for years.

5 Challenge Accepted

Dragon Ball has given us a lot of transformations over the years with Goku having 14 transformations and a power-up in the KaioKen. Yes, that's a lot of forms and it's no wonder Akira Toriyama might be struggling to come up with some new designs. One of Goku's latest transformations in Ultra Instinct is a great example of a form that honestly, could have had more work done to it. The concept of the form is actually pretty cool, as it allows the user to react and attack in a fight without thinking. However, the way the form looks is actually just regular Goku with some blue/whitish aura surrounding him and he now has silver eyes.

The Super Saiyan God form received similar criticism as it was essentially the same thing but with red hair instead. Actually, most of Goku's forms have looked the same but with either a hair colour change or lightning so that you can tell them from each other. Think about it, Super Saiyan 2 is essentially the Super Saiyan form with lightning, Super Saiyan Blue is Super Saiyan with blue hair, Super Saiyan God and Ultra Instinct is base Goku with an aura change and Mastered Ultra Instinct is Super Saiyan Goku with silver hair. The same applied for Goku Black rose hair, which was never explained by the way, so it's no wonder that some fans are making fun of the legendary manga illustrator.

4 Doctor Gero Is The Greatest Hero We Have Seen

Now, when Doctor Gero was first destroyed after activating several Androids with the task of ending Goku and destroying humanity, we didn't think that he would be a hero. I mean, this was the guy that created all the robot and weaponry that the Red Ribbon Army used in Dragon Ball, as well as the man who created all the evil Androids and of course Cell. So, when this guy was eliminated by his own experiment in Android 17, we all thought that the cyborg had done the world a favor. However, what we didn't know what that this man was actually a hero, a hero that would eventually save eight universes.

That's because, during the Tournament of Power, the former evil Android 17 had joined up with the Z-Fighters from Universe 7 and won the Tournament of Power. This was a tournament where all the losers were meant to be destroyed by the two Zeno's. However, Android 17 managed to undo all of Zeno's work by winning the Tournament of Power and wishing everyone back to life. As a result, since Doctor Gero was the man who created Android 17, he should be thanked for this incredible feat.
