Despite being released in 2016 and having multiple other DBZ games come out after it., Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still being enjoyed by fans due to a vast amount of paid and free DLC content.

Many of this DLC content is more skills, Parallel Quests and playable characters. But when developer Dimps dropped the transformation Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan for players to use on their own custom characters, players were scrambling to obtain the iconic transformation for themselves. We're here with the answers on how to get it.

8 Make A Saiyan Character

Obvious? Yes. Needs to be said regardless? Also yes.

Of course to make your character a mighty alien warrior with the ability to change their hair to blue on command, you must make a Saiyan character. They can be either male or female of course, marking the first female Saiyans to reach God status in Dragon Ball.

It is worth noting that the skill can be unlocked however by any other race, but you won't be able to actually equip the transformation to your character unless they hail from Planet Vegeta.

7 Max Out Your Friendship With Whis

While Beerus may be a grumpy old kitty cat of a God Of Destruction, Whis is one of the most likable characters in the entire franchise. Always keeping a cool head and able to put an end to any conflict that gets out of control, it would be wise to keep Whis on your friends list and not make an enemy of him.

Having an angel on your side isn't the only reason to max out your friendship with Whis however. Not only do you get the great Ki Blast Ultimate Symphonic Destruction, but this is one of the essential steps to unlocking the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformation. Luckily this is one of the quickest steps to become a God when compared to the rest of the list.

6 Grind Grind Grind

Let it be said that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a massive gaming experience with a ton of value attached to it, especially since you can pick it up for pretty cheap nowadays. However, it does need to be said that if you plan to reach godly status, that you best prepare yourself for a long grind.

Luckily there are a couple of key tricks to level up quickly. We recommend unlocking the expert mission "In The Realm Of Gods: Goku" and repeating that as many times as possible as expert missions give the biggest amount of XP possible. The mission is also easy/short compared to other expert missions.

As well, obtain the Super Soul "40 Ton Weights" as soon as you can from the NPC Nit in Conton City. They can be found at the top of the Parallel Quest area in the hub and the Super Soul doubles the amount of XP earned from missions.

Finally, collecting the Dragon Balls and using the wishes "I want to grow! and "I want to grow more!" will give you instant level-ups. While "I want to grow more!" allows you to go up 3 levels, it can only be used once per level cap. That means in the high level range, use them at levels 79, 84, 87 for the best effect.

5 Reach LV 90

There's a reason why you need to grind so much to reach your godly status. While you start this game as a pathetic Time Patroller, you will eventually become an incredible warrior with immense power. This is especially the case at LV 90.

By the time you've grinded to that point of the game you won't only have an endless list of strike supers, ki blast supers, reinforcement skills and evasive moves but you will be able to equip the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformation. You've earned it, but what if you want even more power? Well in that case...

4 To Go Even Beyond

While you won't be able to achieve Ultra Instinct status in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, you are able to achieve another major transformation introduced in Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" arc.

Do you want to be as buffed as out the Prince Of All Saiyans was when he took on Jiren? Well you can do it in this game.

3 Reach Level 95

The steps to pulling this off are similar to the ones to get SSGSS previously. Again, you will have to reach a ridiculously high level of 95 in order to reach the level cap needed for the skill.

To get here, you essentially use the same steps as before to get there. Camp yourself next to the portal for the Expert Mission "In The Realm Of Gods: Goku" and repeat that mission as many times as you can with the Super Soul "40 Ton Weights" to rack up the XP. As well collecting Dragon Balls and using the wishes mentioned above is a solid strategy too though it is not as reliable as Dragon Ball drops are random.

However, the Parallel Quest 23 and 79 are both great candidates for Dragon Ball farming. 23 is quicker to complete, but 79 gives you up to 6 chances for a Dragon Ball to drop while 23 only grants 3.

2 Max Out Friendship With Vegeta

While Vegeta lacks the friendly demeanor of Whis, he really has chilled out in his later years to the point where we wouldn't mind hanging out with this proud papa. Also, you need a maxed out friendship with Vegeta to obtain this transformation.

By LV 95 you will be almost guaranteed to have a maxed-out friendship with Vegeta but in case you don't, find him in Conton City and complete all his training missions. While the moves you get from his trainings aren't great, this is still a step that needs to be done.

1 What Do The Transformations Do?

Since the Xenoverse series' descriptions of skills can be cryptic as hell, most players understandably want to know what exactly these transformations do.

For the original Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, you need to have 5 bars of Ki to transform and once there, your Ki will drain fairly quickly. That's needed though as the power up gives you a 25% damage increase to all attacks but you also take 10% more damage from enemies.

In terms of SSGSS Evolved, the initial Ki needed to transform is the same but the drain is even quicker. But when you busting out attacks that deal 35% more damage than your normal state, you may be able to finish a fight super quickly. You also take 10% more damage from foes like the base SSGSS form.
