If you’re a Dragon Ball fan who’s a little skeptical about the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, this one’s for you. This sweet, sweet slice of ridiculousness will put all your fears to rest.

If you are a little trepidatious about the upcoming title, we can hardly blame you. You know what they say about licensed games. The likes of Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Arkham titles have helped with the stigma, but those of us who suffered through Superman 64 back in the day will always be wary about titles with big names and/or franchises attached.

Long-running, beloved TV series always tend to have mixed fortunes when it comes to video game adaptations. There are top titles like South Park: The Stick of Truth, and then there are others like… that awful South Park FPS that had you throwing pee-soaked snowballs at giant turkeys. The same applies to Dragon Ball in general, really. As we know, an anime that has run this long is going to have its share of fantastic iconic episodes and a fair amount of filler sprinkled throughout. That’s just the way things are. As far as upcoming action RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot goes, though, early signs seem to suggest that something very special’s coming our way.

As Gematsu reports, the game’s going to play host to the popular Cell Saga. During the events of the saga, Trunks and Teen Gohan will be playable, something many fans were surely hoping for. The really exciting news? There’s going to be a driving/racing minigame based on that episode.

You know the one, right? Of course you do. This one:

That’s right, friends. While you don’t need to know anything at all about Dragon Ball to appreciate this doozy of a clip, a little context is always nice. This episode, then, is called “Goku’s Ordeal,” and sees our hero and Piccolo trying to acquire driving licenses. Why? Well, look at the clip again: does it matter? All that’s really important here is the fact that our hype for Kakarot just increased over 9,000 times, and yours should have too. The game will hit PS4, Xbox One and PC next year, and we're totally on board.
