Mini medals are one of the most precious resources in the Dragon Quest series, as they can be traded for some of the best items in the game. In Dragon Quest Builders 2, the Mini medals are hidden within Builder Puzzles that the player needs to complete.

The Builder Puzzles offer a refreshing change of pace from the castle building and monster slaying that makes up the rest of the game, but they can be a little obtuse at times. There are plenty of Builder Puzzles that offer the player no clue as to how to proceed, which can be really frustrating to solve, due to the abundance of options available to the player.

One of the most annoying Builder Puzzles in Dragon Quest Builders 2 involves two areas that are filled with sand and water. If the player zooms out, then they will notice that the groundwork is laid out in the shape of the iconic Slime monsters from the series.

The puzzle can be found to the south along the coast during the Furrowfield Farm section of the game and can be accessed when the player needs to enter the bog in search of more seeds.

The player is given access to two blocks of Stony Sand, which is the only clue they are given as to how to proceed with the puzzle. The abundance of sand blocks in the area might suggest that the player needs to trace the images using sand, but this is incorrect. The answer lies with the Stony Sand blocks.

The player first needs to clear both areas of debris. Once they are clear, the player needs to take the two blocks of Stony Sand.

The two Slime drawings might seem identical, but there is a subtle difference. The right Slime drawing has two extra blocks at the tips of its mouth, which can be seen in the image above.

In order to finish the puzzle, the player needs to make both drawings match.

To do this, they need to use their hammer to dig two holes at the tips of left Slime's mouth (as seen in the image above) and fill them with the blocks of Stony Sand. This will finish the puzzle and they will be rewarded with the Mini medal.
