Dragon Quest Builders 2 follows the premise of the first game in the series, in which the worlds of the classic Dragon Quest titles have been devastated by monsters and the cities have been torn down. A new hero appears in the world with the power to rebuild the cities and vanquish the monsters that prey on humanity. The protagonist of Dragon Quest Builders 2 is not alone on his journey, as he is joined by a powerful warrior named Malroth, who just happens to share a name with the villain of Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is currently available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, but that's about to change, as the official Dragon Quest YouTube channel has announced that the game is coming to PC via Steam on December 12, 2019.
The PC version of Dragon Quest Builders 2 will come bundled with all of the DLC that is available in the PlayStation 4 version of the game, including the Aquarium Pack, the Hotto Stuff Pack, and the Modernist Pack. The people who pre-purchase the game will receive the Medicinal Herb decoration, the Dragon Quest Logo decoration, the Chimera Wing decoration, the Lo-Res Luminary recipes, the Legendary Line Art recipe, and the Sigil Blocks for free. There is currently no word of the original Dragon Quest Builders being ported to PC.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is one of the best games of 2019 and it's great to see it reach a larger audience on different platforms. The gameplay style of Dragon Quest Builders 2 is like a more structured version of Minecraft, with the inclusion of a story and quests for the player to complete. The inclusion of a multiplayer mode to Dragon Quest Builders 2 was the best new addition to the game, as it allowed players from all over the world to build their own miniature Dragon Quest cities with their friends.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to PC on December 10, 2019.
