The ultimate dad-dating simulator, Dream Daddy, is coming to PS4 later this month, the game's first foray into the console world.
The video game world is so expansive in the present day that there is pretty much something out there for everyone. You might even be a gamer without even realizing that you are. The sheer range of games now available on mobile devices means that people with little to no interest in forking out for a console are still part of the video game sphere, even though they might not associate themselves with it.
Perhaps the strangest video game boom in recent years has been the sheer amount of simulators that are now available. It isn't a new concept by any means. Players have been able to get a feel of what it's like to be a theme park owner or train driver for years. Now though, there's a variety of farming simulators, and even the most famous of all, Goat Simulator, and that is truly just the tip of the iceberg.
One game from this corner of the video game world that might have passed you by is Dream Daddy. Not quite as strange as getting a feel of what life as a goat would be like, but still a pretty niche idea. The game requires you to play out the life of a single, homosexual father with a daughter.
Unlike Goat Simulator, that is actually the life many men around the world are currently living. For those of you who aren't, well there is now a game for you. The plot requires you to juggle your dating life and looking after your daughter. There are seven other eligible bachelors living nearby that you can choose to romance. It has only been available on PC until now but will soon be coming to the console world.
The game will be released on PlayStation 4 on October 30th, 2018, and will come with fresh updates, a new side quest, and also an extra minigame. It will also have a tweaked title due to the changes, Dream Daddy: Dadrector's Cut. If simulation games are right up your alley then this might be one worth taking a punt on. There are plenty of dating simulators out there but none quite like this, and very few, if any, currently available on PS4.
