Phantasy Star Online 2 players will soon have a chance to dress like their favorite S.E.E.S, Investigation Team, or Phantom Thieves of Heart member, as the MMO is having a crossover event with the Persona series.

In Phantasy Star Online 2, it's possible for players to earn new items by using AC Scratch Tickets. These act in a similar way to the gacha mechanics in mobile titles, as players have a random chance of winning items by spending the tickets.

The official Phantasy Star Online 2 website has announced that players can earn Persona prizes from August 12 to September 9, as part of the Persona Paradox event. These outfits include costumes based on Teddie, Jack Frost, Makoto Yuki, Yu Narukami, Joker, a female Gekkoukan school uniform, Elizabeth, Chie Satonaka, Haru Okumura, Ann's Academy uniform, Futaba Sakura, Aigis' Outerwear, a Shujin Academy Uniform, Yukari Takeba, Aigis, Mitsuru Kirijo, Marie, and Makoto's Academy uniform. There will also be accessories based on each of the characters. A video of these outfits in action can be seen on the official Phantasy Star Online 2 - Global YouTube channel.

It will also be possible to win furnishings based on the Persona series, including posters and statues. There will be several Music Disks on offer with remixes of popular tracks from the series, including "Mass Destruction", "Reach Out To The Truth", and "Last Surprise". There will also be emotes that can be won, including dance moves from the Persona rhythm games and specific actions from each title, such as using the Evoker from Persona 3 to shoot yourself in the head, or tearing off the mask from Persona 5. There will be in-game concerts for players to visit that will grant them Persona-themed titles.

Atlus and Sega have been pimping out the Persona cast in various crossovers since Persona 5 became a big hit, but these outfits feel fitting for an MMO. Whether it will be enough to make PC players suffer through the eternity of waiting for the game to download is another matter.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available now for PC and Xbox One. The Persona Paradox event will run from August 12 to September 9.
