DriveClub has taken two blows in 2019, including the shutdown of its servers in March and its delisting in August, or, rather, its intended delisting.

It had been announced recently that the controversial DriveClub would be removed from the PlayStation Store on August 31st. As Push Square reports, while DriveClub was to be removed internationally the PS Store, it is still available for $19.99 on the PlayStation Store in North America.

Having been pulled early from the PS Store in several European territories, it is a bit confusing as to why it continues to be available in North America past the original deadline. Furthermore, it must be annoying to European gamers who had hoped to purchase the game before it was too late.

In a way, North American gamers who were hesitant about getting DriveClub are a bit lucky for the moment. Given that the deadline for its delisting has already past, it could theoretically still be delisted at any point, so it is completely recommended that anyone interested in the title or its add-ons in North America should make the transaction as soon as possible.

With all of that in mind, it is still possible to purchase DriveClub from retailers like Amazon and, for the moment, GameStop which is alleged to be basically shutting down.

As for the game itself, DriveClub has ridden a semi-bumpy road from start to finish. It experienced a poor launch with shoddy servers and other issues, which had been fixed largely. It became a well-liked game via series of patches that were implemented following its release. However, it seems to be imitating its launch issues now, as DriveClub's PS Store removal was not devoid of problems.

Aside from this, DriveClub is considered by many to be a standout racing game on the PlayStation 4. While Need for Speed and Gran Turismo iterations have made their debuts on the PlayStatioon 4, DriveClub is, nonetheless, an exclusive that many looked forward to pre-launch. Finally, it has become one of the PS4's best racers, possibly rivaling the likes of Forza on Xbox. As such, for North Americans with any degree of interest in the title, picking it up now would be the best course of action, as it could be taken down at any time.
