The recreation of Matt Hancock's office using Duke Nukem that turned into an entire high street is now so elaborate that some of its stores are getting refurbished.

When the Daily Mail published an incredibly detailed floor plan of Matt Hancock's office earlier this year, Dan Douglas went about mocking the publication for doing so in the best possible way. By taking that floorplan to the next level and recreating a version you can virtually stand in. The closest thing you will ever get to kissing the controversial MP for yourself.

The best part of all this is that Douglas used the same build engine that created Duke Nukem 3D to recreate the office. The next best part is that Douglas's office project picked up so much traction that he decided to keep going. Hancock's Duke Nukem-inspired office now has an entire high street to go along with it, complete with a Greggs.

More than three months later, and Douglas has gone back and given his Greggs a remaster. While still impressive, the first iteration of the famous bakery looked a little basic. The upgrade looks so much like an actual Greggs that you can almost taste the steak bakes just by looking at screenshots of it. Take a look for yourself below and tell us we're wrong, we dare you.

The sign now pops out of what is a much better-looking storefront, you can see the doors, and there's even what looks like some pretty official signage in the windows. Someone asked Douglas in the comments how he has managed to get his hands on such detailed and accurate textures to use in his virtual Greggs. “Seems there's a lot of people like taking photos inside of Greggs and I am grateful to each and every one of them,” Douglas replied.

It's unclear what exactly Douglas is aiming for with this project if anything at all. It's just something he is having a lot of fun with, and something a lot of others enjoying as he shares his tweaks and additions to the project over time. Whatever he has planned, the prospect of being able to pick up a four-pack of sausage rolls as Duke Nukem at some point in the future is a mouthwatering one, literally.
