Grand Theft Auto is one of the most illustrious video game series ever created. This excellent series has so far spawned 11 stand-alone games and four expansion packs. The brilliant mix of video game elements (beat-em-up, satirical, and action-adventure aspects) have transformed the initial 16-bit romp into a critically acclaimed video game series.

In any case, this free-for-all video game has a rich history of deferring from the traditional norms of in-game video game technology. Secret mods and glitches have made anything possible in GTA, whether it's flying cars or steamy scenes with women of the night. Although this could raise questions about the professionalism of GTA, these secrets have endeared many fans to the GTA series.

From Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to Grand Theft IV, there have existed many in-game secrets that add to the adventure of playing the game, even after the main story is complete. As a matter of fact, many players purchase GTA games for the sake of modding them to do whatever they want. As deplorable as it sounds, this is really fun and worthwhile for GTA fans.

However, there are instances where even senior gamers are unaware of the true possibilities of GTA. Many gamers have not even imagined that they can see aliens, fight vicious animals, and trigger funny in-game events in their favorite GTA games. Therefore, this list will breakdown the dumbest things that many of you didn't even know you could do in the GTA series. So, without further ado, here they are!

15 Don't You Dare Change The Station!

via: http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/grand-theft-auto/feature/a787712/so-you-think-you-know-grand-theft-auto-take-our-ultimate-quiz-and-find-out/

Many GTA fans have truly fallen in love with Trevor, the verbally abrasive character of the GTA V crew. While Trevor is extremely vulgar, yet somewhat laid back, he does have moments where even he can disobey the commands of the player. Yes, you. In the game, if you play music that Trevor doesn't like, he will get angry and change the station. How bizarre is that?

And, if you change it back, then he'll get angry and do it again. It's best to keep Trevor happy while dialing into his favorite station, Channel X. If you don't, well, he'll become the player and do it himself.

14 A Ball You Don't Want To Catch

via: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/dog-companions

What's more beautiful than the relationship between man and dog? You won't find anything similar. In GTA V, Franklin and Chop are the best of friends. Franklin can use Chop to sniff out valuable collectibles and items, and the pooch is even an effective fighter when Franklin doesn't want to deal with people himself. However, there is one downfall to this cordial relationship, and it entails something as simple as a game of fetch.

In the game, Franklin can play fetch with Chop by using a tennis ball. While that's fun and all, if you switch to a grenade and throw it, Chop will still blindly fetch it. It's sad, but funny at the same time. When the grenade eventually goes off, it can cause substantial damage to Chop or kill her altogether.

13 Get Revenge With The Help Of GPS

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgeCcZFBPRk

Let's face it. GTA Online is a free-for-all war. Thousands of gamers plague the servers to mingle with each other within the borders of the game's limitations. This voluntarily leads to chaos among players, and ends with many gamers killing each other for possessions or just for fun. Many online GTA gamers have been killed in this way, and it can be quite frustrating.

However, there is a specific feature that allows you to track your killer and get your revenge. You can simply access your iFruit Contacts list, type in the name of your murderer, and highlight them. They will appear on your map, and you can set out and gain your necessary revenge.

12 Let Me Take A Selfie

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mye8Sw3gsdQ

While it was not particularly known before, some gamers on Reddit have discovered that you can take pictures during cutscenes. This has proved to be an amazing addition to the already wacky GTA V video game, mainly because the selfie addition was beloved by many fans who made it their ambition to take the best and weirdest pictures ever.

There is a great degree of skill to pull this shenanigan off. You would have to possess perfect timing of opening snapmatic just as the cutscene starts to end. While this isn't the most exciting GTA secret, it's still funny to imagine the other characters being baffled at the main character taking inopportune selfies.

11 Why Uber When You Can Taxi?

via: https://www.gta5-mods.com/paintjobs/taxis-pack

Taxis are some of the most innovative and wonderful additions to the GTA series. Not only are they shortcuts, but they can save players time by instantly getting to the locations of missions, oddities, and special items or places. Even in a game such as GTA V where the scenery is picturesque, taxis are a luxurious addition. Still, who says that you can't have fun in one?

Similar to the crazed antics in the popular video game, Crazy Taxi, you can set a waypoint to a rigorous destination and your taxi driver will follow your command without question. Even if the destination is on a mountain trail, the taxi cab driver will use whatever driving skill possible (legal or not), and try to get you to your destination. This can be used to your favor while riding in a taxi possibly doomed to crash.

10 On Your Way To A Restraining Order

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-8qP2Srog0

The NPC reactions in GTA have noticeably improved recently, especially with the release of GTA V. In this game, it's very well possible to stalk NPCs. To kick it off, you can simply walk behind NPCs until they get annoyed. They will then walk faster to evade you for as long as you stalk them. This is common for some male, but mainly female NPCs, even more so if you use Trevor who is as creepy as a shadow.

However, you can even stalk playable characters. This won't end diplomatically, though. If you stalk a main character like Franklin, for example, you will get a harsh warning to back off, then a punch to the face. There have even been rumors that these main characters become overpowered when they are agitated. If you push them too far, they just might kill you.

9 But Where's Kim?

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md7rnRDhegY

When GTA V was first released, many fans assumed that the voluptuous woman sporting the bikini in the promotional art was none other than Kate Upton. Even though it has not been debunked officially by Rockstar, it is generally understood that this is not the case, as the actual model's name has been discovered. However, it has been proven that Kanye West, or a doppelganger of sorts, is a visible NPC in the game. You can even find him, if you are willing to look hard enough.

While it may be a stretch, Kanye West is a pretty familiar face. Also, it does somewhat stand to reason since West was featured on a GTA soundtrack in the past.

8 Look At This Photograph

via: http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Hunting

GTA V fans remember good ol' Cletus, the eccentric hunting fanatic that probably had no business owning a gun in the first place. Well, if you complete Cletus' target practice mission, he will give you his phone number and promise you a hunting trip, which won't happen until much later in the game. Later, however, you can head on your first hunting mission and kill animals, while collecting their carcasses.

You'll have to take pictures of the bodies to send to Cletus, so he can hang them up on his wall, or do whatever he wants with them. The funny part is that you can actually send these pictures to other contacts. Their responses are all different, which will range from confusion to anger at the fact that you sent them pictures of dead animals.

7 I Believe I Can Fly

via: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/vehicle-fly-10rel05

With the release of GTA V, it is now possible to make your car fly without obsessive modding. There is actually a simple way to giving your car air time, without killing you in the impact. For one, if you drive full speed and crash into a gate, while not letting go of the speed button, you can actually drive in the air for extended period of time.

You can also do this trick by placing a obstacle in front of a train and parking your car right next to it. Once the train comes, it will collide with the obstacle and send you flying in the air. Even though you won't get a lot of air time for this, it's still a good method if you want to fly like MJ.

6 Maybe It's A Cloaking Device

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSvUaa0F5es

Somehow, GTA V has a blatant glitch where players can drive an invisible car. It's not even that hard to do, as a matter of fact. You can drive a invisible car by seeing Jimmy after he is kidnapped, specifically after the Meltdown mission. Get in a taxi and waypoint to Jimmy's position. You'll have to select the skip to fast travel option in order for the glitch to work.

Once you arrive, Jimmy will hilariously begin talking as if the mission is complete. If you walk into the road, you will eventually bump into an invisible car. In order to get in, you'll have to hijack the invisible Jimmy inside. Still, once you get inside, you can't go too far or you'll fail the mission. It's still fun to get a whack at driving the invisible boatmobile.

5 Wait For It...

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJFCs9MpRZw

In GTA V, you can shoot holes in the gas cans of cars to expel gas from your target's car. You can even shoot and ignite these trails to watch the car explode right in front of your very eyes. While this can work very well on moving cars, it's probably a safe bet to get some practice in before you do.

To start, you can practice on a random car by shooting the gas tank of the car and letting the gas leak out. Then, just simply shoot the gas trail to watch it transform into an ignited stream of sparks and fire shortly afterwards.

4 Drive Like You're On The Moon

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOAP3MXs_RY

This space rover, otherwise known vulgarly as the Space Docker, can be unlocked once Franklin finds Omega and the 50 pieces of the space rover. You can use Chop to find these missing parts, or do it yourself because they aren't really that hard to track down. Though, when you obtain all 50 pieces, you can meet Omega and unlock the Beyond The Stars achievement.

From here, you will get all access to the rarest vehicle in the game, Space Docker. While the vehicle is a pain to drive, it is virtually indestructible and invisible to NPCs. It can even glide over short distances. Oh, just imagine the fun you'll have.

3 Jaws In Reverse

The new hunting feature added to GTA V proved to be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, you could now kill harmless animals with ease using your own weapons. On another, you could be instantly ripped to shreds by cougars and sharks on sight.

The great thing is that you can actually kill sharks with little effort. It'll take a knife and a fighting spirit. After a few strikes, you can either cut off a piece of the carcass as a trophy or drag the lifeless body to shore.

2 The Force Can't Get You Here

via: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boYE2TIu9o8

Getting to six stars in GTA is fun, but it's really hard to get out of, and often involves the player having to off themselves. You can either hide and wait for the heat to dissipate or you can fight to the end. In any case, hiding in windfarms is actually a viable option.

Police helicopters won't risk going near windfarms, so this is the perfect place to either hide from the cops or plan your next heist.

1 The Truth Is Out There

via: https://ro.gta5-mods.com/misc/alien-abduction-easter-egg-xcom-aliens-mod

For some odd reason, the folks at Rockstar have a genuine affinity with aliens. This goes back to GTA: San Andreas, when CJ would hear people talk about aliens crashing down on Earth.

True enough, It's entirely possible to venture off of North Yankton and see the body of a frozen alien. It's totally easy to miss, so keep your goggles on the next time you want to search for extraterrestrial life. It's out there, but you just have to find it!
