In Dungeons & Dragons, there are 12 basic classes for you to choose from. There are classes that wield magic, others that rely on weapons and their strength, and even those that use a combination of the three. Each class has an archetype that's there to give you an idea of what skills and abilities you'll want to focus on or obtain to get the most out of that class, but how you play your character is entirely up to you. Choosing a class can be hard, but there are ways to help make that choice easier.

12 Aries - Barbarian

Aries starts things off in the Western zodiac and is the first of the Fire signs. Aries is often described as being courageous, determined and competitive, putting everything they have into "winning". That fiery drive leads Aries to be impatient, impulsive and even aggressive at times when their goals are hindered.

And if that doesn't just scream Barbarian nothing else does. The Barbarian class uses the Rage mechanic to make them even stronger brawlers, giving them an advantage on Strength checks and saving throws, a bonus to damage rolls and resistance to slashing, bludgeoning and piercing damage.

11 Taurus - Fighter

Taurus is mostly recognized for the animal that symbolizes it, the bull. While often seen as stubborn, Taurus is a well-grounded sign that's ambitious, reliable, and not afraid to get their hands dirty to get work done. Taurus is considered to be brave and is a very hard worker that will push towards their goals even when faced with adversity.

Gemini, two dynamic personalities rolled into one body. Geminis are known for being very curious individuals. Despite being called "two-faced", when you gain the trust of a Gemini you have a loyal friend forever. It's not unlike the duality between a Warlock and their patron. Warlocks are spellcasters who enter into pacts with otherwordly patrons, driven by their curious nature and desire for knowledge and power.

Gemini can pick up the vibe of a room and can change the way they communicate accordingly, making them very charming and compelling individuals. And for Warlocks, their Charisma score is their most important stat, as it's what they use to cast their spells.

9 Cancer - Paladin

Cancer is symbolized by the crab. And just like the crab, they have a hard outer shell that protects a much softer inside. Cancers are very emotional and intuitive, making them sympathetic and sentimental towards the people they've come to care about. In general, they're quick to help others, and though they don't like conflict, they aren't afraid to hit those that are bigger and stronger than them to fight for what they think is right.

8 Leo - Bard

The Fire sign Leo is represented by the Lion, the "king of the jungle" that rules with a self-confident air. Leos are considered to be very creative and cheerful people who enjoy becoming "the life of the party". And what class suits a Leo better than Bard?

Bards are spellcasters with entertainer backgrounds that use their creativity to buff allies with their Bardic Inspiration, and weakening enemies with other spells. Leos are one of the most charismatic signs in the zodiac, often drawing the attention of others. Charisma is also something Bards exude in spades, as they use their Charisma stat for spellcasting.

Libra's symbol of the scale isn't a mistake, they are all about keeping the balance and harmony of the world around them. Libra is also ruled by the planet Venus, the planet of love and beauty, including the beauty found in nature. Libras often need to surround themselves with naturally beautiful things to have a rich and fulfilling life.

It makes them a lot like Druids, spellcasters that draw their power from the forces of Nature. Druids see the world as a constant balancing act between the four elements, nature and civilization, and make it their duty to keep that balance.

5 Scorpio - Rogue

Scorpio is thought to be one of the more mysterious zodiacs. Though they are emotional like other Water signs, they tend to keep their cool and manifest their emotions in other calmer ways. Scorpios aren't afraid to take their own paths, even if others question it.
