The next Dungeons & Dragons storyline is gearing up for release and clues are being sent out to celebrity fans as to what this next adventure will be about. The fans are piecing together the evidence and it seems like we may be seeing a revival of a classic adventure.

There are some celebrity Dungeons & Dragons fans who have received USB sticks in the shape of keys, such as Matt Mercer and Ivan Van Norman. These contain codes and ciphers that have so far revealed the names of specific Dungeons & Dragons monsters, though we have yet to learn the full meaning behind these clues.

The official Dungeons & Dragons Twitter page has been releasing unusual statements, which many believe are linked to this new adventure. The tweets have been referring to Elminster (the most powerful mage in the Forgotten Realms setting) which suggest that the next adventure will be related to one of the locations in Faerun, rather than being one that could slot into any of the main campaign worlds.

The Sage Advice column has also been compiling all of the tweets concerning the upcoming adventure.

All of these clues seem to be leading to a three-day streaming event that is being held at the start of June, called the Stream of Many Eyes. This event will have special live streams of popular online roleplaying groups who will be previewing parts of the new adventure.

The Stream of Many Eyes will also be attended by celebrities like Deborah Ann Woll from Daredevil and True Blood.

The Dungeons & Dragons fans of Reddit have been piecing together the clues and have reached a few potential conclusions concerning what the new adventure is about. One suggestion is that the next adventure will be set in Undermountain, which is a location that is closely linked to Waterdeep, which would explain the supposed connection to the Forgotten Realms. There are also some who believe that the adventure will focus on the hunt for Xanathar the beholder, which was the plot of the classic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game called Eye of the Beholder.

The creators of Dungeons & Dragons have referenced upcoming adventures in previous books, such as Acererak and Strahd being mentioned in the Monster Manual. Xanathar was referenced directly in the title of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which may be a clue as to his starring role in an upcoming module.

It seems that we will learn the truth of the next Dungeons & Dragons adventure on June 1st.
