Catti-Brie's life is filled with love, death, and adventure. But through all that adventure she's picked up some pretty weird facts that most don't know.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance needs a little polishing but is still a wonderfully amazing game filled with everyone's favorite heroes. However, in typical Dungeons & Dragons, their lore spans much further than just Dark Alliance.

This couldn't be truer when it comes to the badass fighter, Catti-brie. She's most known for being the adopted daughter of Bruenor Battlehammer but is also a love interest for Wulfgar and Drizzt as well as being an incredibly versatile and powerful fighter. Ultimately, she's mysterious, powerful, and full of weird and awesome facts that some will have missed.

10 Worships The Goddess Mielikki

It's no secret that pretty much every player or D&D hero worships one of the many deities. For Catti-brie, Mielikki is her true Godess. Mielikki is the neutral good goddess of autumn, druids, rangers, and similar creatures.

It's a little odd that Catti-brie worships the Forest Queen as a fighter but it seems like the two are pretty similar in their passions and kindness.

9 She Was Reincarnated

When playing D&D, most know that thanks to spells death isn't always permanent. So while it's not a stretch that Catti-Brie was brought back to life, it is a little weird how it happened. She essentially passed away in 1385 DR and was sent to private heaven created by her goddess Mielikki.

After a few decades, Mielikki gave Catti-Brie the choice of being reincarnated as a newborn. It was assured they would be the same race and sex as before and ultimately, she agreed. Therefore she was reincarnated as Ruqiah in 1463DR.

8 Married Drizzt

It's no secret that Bruenor, Wulfgar, Drizzt, and Catti-Brie have an unbreakable bond. After all, Bruenor adopted Catti-Brie and saved Wulfgar while Catti-Brie introduced and saved Drizzt and fell in love with both Wulfgar and Drizzt respectively.

However, Catti-Brie ended up marrying Drizzt twice, in both her original life and her reincarnation. They had a child together in 1488 DR named Briennelle Zaharina and continued to live happily ever after.

7 She's Technically A Fighter

Fighters aren't famous for their archery skill but anyone who's played Dark Alliance will understand exactly why Catti-brie uses a bow. She was always a skilled archer but interestingly trained in wizardry during a little of her first life and more of her second life.

She primarily used her magic in her second life due to the lack of practice with a bow. However, despite Catti-brie being registered as a fighter, she has access to spells ranging from wizard to druid, even being able to turn into smaller animals! While it may not be huge in the game yet, it would be an awesome addition.

6 She Almost Married Wulfgar

If you've read The Crystal Shard then it shouldn't be a surprise that Wulfgar fell in love with Catti-brie. When Bruenor saved his life he trained and worked under his wing for a good few years so he got to know Catti-brie pretty well!

After all this, it was only a matter of time before they would become romantically involved and actually engaged. It wasn't until Wulfgar was thought to have passed away that she ended up falling for Drizzt.

5 She Was Possessed By A Sword

While accompanying Drizzt back to Menzoberranzan to stop an attack Catti-brie picked up a sword that went by the name of Khazid'hea. It was a sentient sword that greatly enhanced her skills when it came to melee combat.

However, shortly after preparing for a Drow invasion, Catti-brie was actually temporarily possessed by this sword, only breaking out of the possession by pure willpower. It's around this time that Drizzt and Catti-brie began to develop feelings, but she was engaged to Wulfgar at the time.

4 Became A Pirate Hunter

If Catti-brie wasn't badass enough, she also spent some time during her adventure with Drizzt as a famous pirate hunter! She became part of the well-known pirate-hunting ship, The Sea Sprite, sailing for a good six years with her budding romantic partner.

Everything Catti-brie has done just makes you think she's more awesome each time. Unfortunately, she was pulled away from her adventure after Wulfgar returned alive, forcing the two back to Icewind Dale and Catti-brie to make a tough decision about her love life.

3 She Trained As A Wizard

Around 1372 DR, Catti-Brie assisted in an assault that was lead by the legendary Alustriel Silverhand. During this battle, the powerful wizard gave Catti-Brie a wand and ring. Obviously, she wasn't the most adept with the weapon but it sparked a passion and likeness for the arcane arts.

After this assault, she ultimately became one of Alustriel's apprentices and then spent most of the later parts of her life training to be a Wizard.

2 She Got Caught Between Two Plains Of Existence

Shortly after beginning her training as a Wizard, Catti-brie was struck by a strand of the Weave, which is essentially the metaphysical way in which magic presents itself to mortal beings. This unexpected touch pulled Catti-brie into the middle of two planes!

Catti-brie's body remained on the material plane she originally was but her mind and spirit were pulled into the terrible plane of Shadowfell, forcing her to relive her life all over again. Thankfully Mielikki helped pull her out but it was only temporary. She was allowed one night to say goodbye and then, unfortunately, passed away, for the first time.

1 Her Reincarnation Changed Her

It would be pretty un-D&D-like for reincarnation to be as simple as bringing Catti-brie back to life with no real consequences. However, despite her being brought back as a baby in a different part of the material plane, she also seemed to have dramatically changed in her personality.

Catti-brie, or at that time, Ruqiah, was particularly vicious. She often advocated for the brutal genocide of typically evil creatures like Ocs and Goblins, even going so far as to advocate for the murder of newborn babies! It got so bad that Drizzt even compared her attitude to the likes of the Drow matron mothers!
