A new video spot for Lost Odyssey: The Book of Knowledge claims that "the world would be a better place if everybody played Dungeons and Dragons together." The video, promoting the upcoming D&D live theater experience set to perform at the Alex Theatre on November 15th, features Liam O'Brien (Critical Role), Emi Tanji (Wizards of the Coast), and organizations Game to Grow and Aspiring Youth, all discussing what the game means to them.

The quote is attributed to representatives from Game to Grow, a non-profit organization that uses role-playing games as a way to build social skills among young players. They found that D&D emphasizes the strength of collaboration and overcoming obstacles as a group.

The rest of the video follows a similar theme. Liam O'Brien and Emi Tanji recognize the importance of story-telling as a form of self-expression, and a member from Aspiring Youth (an organization that connects young people to social skills groups, summer camps, coaching, and other services) explains how D&D helps him move forward through times when he "feels down."

The inspiring video reminds those who have experienced D&D that part of the magic of the game is the imagination, creativity, and teamwork that goes into every session. For new players and those who have never played, the video draws a sense of excitement of the prospect of being a part of something bigger than yourself and diving into a compelling story-driven narrative with friends. But most of all, it makes the audience want to experience what's in store for the Lost Odyssey event.

Lost Odyssey, bringing together D&D players from across the Internet, plans to donate a fourth of the ticket sales from their live show to the Autism Society of America. For those who can't make it to the show, a live stream of the event will be on Twitch and Tiltify, along with an online fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds go to the Autism Society of America. Even if you can't physically come to LA on November 15th, there is still a way to participate in this generous project (and have a chance to win some giveaway items as well).
