In the moment we’ve all been waiting for, we got to see a closer look today at Dying Light 2, developed by Techland. The game was originally announced all the way back in 2018. It was scheduled for a 2020 release, but as with tons of other games, Covid became an obstacle that pushed it back. Dying Light 2 is now set to be released on December 7, 2021.

In today’s PC Gaming Show, we got to see a closer look at Dying Light 2.

It all started with a virus that eventually reached the whole world, including the city where Dying Light 2 takes place. They dropped chemicals on the city, but it was a huge mistake, because it killed plants and turned people into monsters. However, they're not exactly zombies, despite their appearance. A new order has now been born in the city among survivors who live on the rooftops.

The main character, Aiden, is braver than others and excels in combat. Today, we heard that Aiden suffered serious trauma and separated from his sister at five years old. His sister stayed in the city, and he finally finds a clue as to how to find her, so he goes looking.

During the Future Games Show, it was also added that side quests will be an important part of the game. You will actually be able to shape the way that the world around you looks. Some citizens will support your decisions while others will not.

Another cool part about Dying Light 2 is that players will be able to get a free current-gen upgrade when the game is purchased on PS4 or Xbox One. This has become a relatively normal phenomenon, but it will still be great to see this game with the 4k visuals and 60 fps gameplay.

Dying Light 2 will be coming out on December 7, and it will be released on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC.
