How To Get Inside The Secret Developer Room

The entrance to the secret Development Room in Dying Light 2.

The Secret Developer Room isn’t accessible until you unlock the Garrison District in the Central Loop and progress the main story. You’ll need to finish one of the main missions called “Broadcast” before you can reach the floor where the room is located.

“Broadcast” is also the mission where you get The Grappling Hook, which is a lifesaver in many close-call situations.

After completing this quest, you can use the elevators in the VNC Tower to get to the rooftop. Unfortunately, it takes exactly 80 seconds for the elevator to reach the lobby of the tower, and another 80 seconds before you’re finally on the rooftop. Once you’re on the rooftop, glide your way to Airdrop THB-UT0, which is located on a tall building, southwest of the VNC Tower.

Aiden spots a military airdrop on a rooftop in Dying Light 2.

Don't forget to loot the Military Airdrop once you land on the rooftop. The crate contains valuable gear and Military Tech, the rarest resource in the game, which is used to upgrade Nightrunner Tools.

The Secret Developer Room in Dying Light 2 is located under Airdrop THB-UT0, but the doors are tightly locked, and you can’t get in without deactivating the defense system. In order to do that, you must connect electricity to three power boxes on different floors. Here’s how:

  1. Grab the power cable from the rooftop. The power box is two levels below on the east side of the roof. You can either glide your way down or use the grappling hook. The latter is riskier, but also faster. Once you land, connect the power cable to the box.

  2. You’ll find another power cord across the room. Grab it, jump outside the west side, and land on the next set of open windows down below. Connect the cable to the next power box on this floor.

  3. The last power cable you’ll need to connect is also on this floor and again across the room. Grab it and reach the grassy area below. From there, drop to yet another grassy roof area. The last power box will be right there. Connect the last cable and deactivate the defense system.
Aiden successfully deactivates the defense system unlocking Dev Room.
  4. This will unlock The Developer’s Room, but be careful because there is a Bomber Infected in the room. Deal with it first, then you can enjoy all the Easter Eggs waiting for you inside.

How To Get Infinite Durability For Weapons

Korek Charm in Dying Light 2 that allows infinite weapon repairs.

Once in a blue moon, Dying Light Gods may bless you with a weapon far better than everything else at your disposal. While you can’t repair your weapons in Dying Light 2 in a traditional sense, applying modifications can increase the overall durability and extend its life.

Luckily, there is a legitimate method to get infinite durability for weapons that come with a Charm Slot. Head inside the Developer's Room. After you pass the hallway, you’ll see a couple of seats and a coffee table in the middle.

There is a thank-you letter from the developers on the table. The blueprint for “Korek Charm” will appear after a small lightning show once you sit down and look closely at the blue shimmering spot next to the letter.

If you can't see the blue shimmering spot, change seats and try again. The blueprint will eventually appear. Sitting on the blue chair to the far left corner did it for us.

You can apply the Korek Charm to any weapon that supports it. The charm can be used infinitely, and it will repair any weapon it is applied to for 500 durability points. You can have the charm on multiple weapons at the same time.

How To Get The Left Finger Of GloVa

Aiden is using Left Finger of gloVa against a mini boss named Clint.

The room has a few more references to Techland and its previous works and the Left Finger of gloVa is one of them. We’ve seen the Left Hand of gloVa in Dead Island, and a different version of the weapon made an appearance in Dying Light, dubbed as the Right Hand of gloVa.

Explore the room further, and you’ll notice a small bedroom. There's a bed inside and a teddy bear on it. Sit on the bed, be patient, and enjoy the light show. One by one, more teddy bears will spawn around you.

Shortly after, bears will stop spawning and the Techland poster in front of you will change to the company's older logo. You can find the blueprint for the “Right Hand of gloVa” inside the frame.

Crafting this weapon requires 369 scraps. It may sound a lot, but at this point in the game, you most likely have more than enough scraps to craft the weapon and enjoy it for a while.

The Left Finger of gloVa is fun to mess around with, and you never know what type of damage output will come out of Aiden’s left hand, which to be honest is half the fun. You only get 16 shots, use them wisely.
