Are you going to this year’s E3 and want to be one of the first people to play Super Smash Bros. on Switch? Well it looks like Nintendo’s got you covered. On its official E3 site, Nintendo has announced it will be giving out reservations to play the game before the event even starts.

It’s no secret that E3 has ridiculous lines to play pretty much every demo. Doubly so for the most highly-anticipated games. Nintendo had to re-organize the layout of its booth mid-show last year just to accommodate the huge lines for Super Mario Odyssey. It seems Nintendo has learned from that craziness and is planning to settle who exactly gets to play Super Smash Bros. well ahead of time.

The terms are laid out in the official site’s FAQ, and Nintendo Life has a nice summary of them. First things first: you must be a registered E3 pass holder by May 31st. Then, you’ll need to be on the lookout for an email sent by E3 on June 5th. You must follow the instructions laid out in the email to claim one of the free tickets that will come in the form of a QR code. There will be no registration at the show itself, so you must get the reservation ticket to have any hope of playing the game.

There will apparently be two demo stations with formats similar to the Super Smash Bros. online multiplayer options. For Fun stations will be to “play casually against other people” and For Glory will be for those who want to get competitive. “Winners advance to play in up to three rounds, after which an overall winner is declared,” the site states. A ticket is only good for one station so attendees will have to decide in advance how serious they want to get.

The rest of the demoes at Nintendo’s booth will be first-come, first-served as usual so even those who fail to get a Smash Bros. ticket can still have some fun. While waiting in line, attendees should be sure to play on their own Switch so that they can get a free pin from Nintendo. It looks like this year’s E3 is shaping up to be a good time for Nintendo fans.
