Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to EA Play on November 10, the same day that Microsoft launches both the next-gen Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have exclusive access to EA Play as well as the xCloud and bundled Xbox Live Gold benefits.

EA Play, which includes access to 89 additional EA games, including FIFA 20, Titanfall 2, Need for Speed, The Sims, Mass Effect, Dead Space, Battlefield, Plants vs Zombies, and more, is comparable to Game Pass but exclusive to EA’s games.

In addition, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to download and play games from EA Play on Windows 10 PCs in December, increasing the selection of PC games available on Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers will also get 10 hours of free gameplay for select new EA releases and a 10% discount on any digital purchases of EA content.

Microsoft will soon add classic Bethesda franchises to Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC following the acquisition of Bethesda Softworks parent company ZeniMax for $7.5 billion by Microsoft. The first games added will be Doom Eternal, the fifth main game in the Doom series, and Drake Hollow, a cooperative action village-building game, on October 1.

According to Microsoft, subscribers of both EA Play and Xbox Game Pass can cancel EA Play subscriptions and any remaining time over 50 days will be “rounded up and converted to the nearest month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of three to one.”

For example, subscribers with up to 3 months left on their EA Play account will get 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to their account, while subscribers with 4 and 6 months of EA Play left on their account will get 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate added to their account. Subscribers can access all the conversion details at support.xbox.com.
