NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon is teasing yet another possible new Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character that is absolutely insane.

Literally. He talks to a small floating winged unicorn who says he’s his daughter’s imaginary friend.

It’s E3 season, which means everyone in the gaming world is making big reveals and surprising announcements. Mortal Kombat is no exception, with their first big character DLC pack still missing a few characters from its roster.

We know that there will be 6 new characters added as part of MK11’s Kombat Pack on June 18th, and we know the identity of four off then: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. That leaves two characters that we’re still scratching our heads about, although we might have received a big clue from NetherRealm Creative Director, Ed Boon.

Boon Tweeted out his congratulations to Respawn Interactive and their recent reveal Jedi: Fallen Order. A fan then responded to make a suggestion for a new MK11 DLC character, in this case, Nick Sax from the recently canceled SyFy dark comedy, Happy!.

In case you haven’t seen the show, Sax is played by former Law & Order: SVU actor Christopher Meloni. Appropriately, Sax is also a police officer but one that struggles with substance and alcohol abuse. One day he has a massive heart attack and when he wakes up he starts seeing a tiny blue unicorn with wings that calls himself Happy and says he’s the imaginary friend of his estranged daughter.

So far not someone you’d expect to find in a Mortal Kombat game. But Sax is also extremely violent and goes on several bloody rampages in the series to give him some Kombat credibility.

Boon responded to the suggestion "we'd be 'happy' to.”

That settles one of the potential new DLC characters, which leaves one more. The most recent rumor points to Twisted Metal’s Needles Kane, better known by his vehicle’s name of Sweet Tooth. We’ll find out for sure on June 18th when MK11’s first Kombat Pack drops.
