One of the best things about Elden Ring is its variety of weapons and attacks. No matter what play style you choose to have there will be a weapon for it. So, if you love using colossal weapons then these swords will not let you down.
That being said, not all swords were created equally and some are undeniably better than others. Now, the majority of decisions regarding weapons in Elden Ring are both situational, and predominantly opinion-based, so it's worth trying them all out and seeing which one is the best fit. However, some undoubtedly shine above the rest and have quickly become fan favorites.

Here are the best colossal swords to choose from.
14 Giant-Crusher
The Giant-Crusher lives up to its name by design. It's a giant hammer that looks like it could easily crush a giant, and you only need one hand to wield it. This makes it ideal if you prefer to go through Elden Ring duel-wielding your weapons.
Once this weapon is buffed and worked on as you go through the game you'll quickly find this becoming one of the most powerful colossal weapons in Elden Ring, doing incredible damage and being relatively easy to master and scale.
13 Ghiza's Wheel
From a brief glance, Ghiza's Wheel looks relatively useless. After all, how is a weapon supposed to do damage when it's just a spinning wheel? Luckily, strapped to the end of this wheel are multiple nastly-looking spikes to deal impressive damage to your enemies.
However, the damage isn't where this Colossal Weapon shines. This weapon has an ability that causes devastating damage to the enemy by hitting them multiple times. This ability increases the speed and can fell even the toughest of bosses. You just have to master how to use it.
12 Fallingstar Beast Jaw
Looking straight out of a giant beast's mouth, the Fallingstar Beast Jaw weapon is the kind of tool fans of PvP are looking for. It can hold its own against almost any boss due to its speed and power, but it excels at any PvP match you choose to compete in.
This is primarily due to the stagger attack it can perform, giving you the upper hand most times you choose to use the weapon ability. Even if you can't use that ability, you shouldn't have a problem taking down some nasty bosses with this badass weapon.
11 Prelate's Inferno Crozier
As perhaps one of the weirder-looking colossal weapons in Elden Ring, this hammer has more than just damage going for it. Some eagle-eyed fans of Dark Souls may recognize this weapon which quickly made it a fan favorite.
This may be due to the fire damage and the fantastic skill this hammer possesses. It can hit multiple enemies at once, dealing fire and normal damage that typically knocks the enemy down or kills them outright. It's a skill that makes this weapon powerful and great fun to try out.
10 Zweihander
As one of the most reliable and commonly used colossal swords in Elden Ring, Zweihander is a perfect weapon to use if you just want to try this fighting style out. Or even if you just end up falling in love with the weapon and use it to go through the entire game.
That's what's great about Zweihander. It can take you through pretty much the entire game with its good weapon scaling and easy fighting style. This fighting style is made much easier through the fact that it's a huge weapon, which allows you to stay out of the boss's way while still doing some mean melee damage. Just make sure you have a good build to go with this weapon.
9 Greatsword
A little heavier and slower than Zweihander, the Greatsword is another common weapon used by many fans of colossal swords. However, it just seems to set itself at a different level when compared with Zweihander, especially with its shield capabilities.
Essentially, due to the pure size and width of this huge weapon, you can use it as a shield. Using it this way when an attack comes towards you will block half of any damage done to you which can be a lifesaver in those tough boss battles. The Greatsword might not look like anything special, but it's fun to use, looks awesome, and can provide you with a bit of damage resistance too.
8 Troll's Golden Sword
The Troll's Golden Sword is not the most powerful weapon you can use in the game. But it's easier to get than most weapons and can still pack enough of a punch to take down a boss. It also has a little skill that can get some annoying enemies away from you, if you use it right.
This sword may look a little old and rusty but if you swing it right and use the skills when you can, you'll do some damage you wish you could do with every swing. This skill will send a powerful shockwave into the enemy in front of you, pushing them back a little. It takes some practice to use effectively but when you master it, then it'll change the fight for the better.
7 Troll Knight's Sword
With a pretty impressive weapon scaling and a badass aesthetic, the Troll Knight's Sword is by no means a weak weapon. It might not be the most powerful sword in the game, but it has a better weapon scaling and damage than the Troll's Golden Sword, while still having the same skill.
This sword is a great weapon to have since it's almost a direct upgrade to the Troll's Golden Sword, but other than that, it's not got anything special to it. Apart from the devastating attacks, it can make.
6 Ruins Greatsword
The Ruins Greatsword is perhaps the least sword-like sword in Elden Ring. After all, it's technically a bit of meteorite that was made into a weapon. However, if anything, that makes it much cooler to use, especially since it's ended up using the powers it got from the meteorite to create a devastating weapon.
This meteor power makes for a cool weapon and an even cooler skill to use during your fight. It's one of the more enjoyable weapons to fight with. Essentially, its skill brings in a huge gravity attack that unleashes an incredible about of pain that enemies can't avoid. Since it's done with every heavy or charged attack, you can just keep using the power of space to destroy the poor boss.
5 Maliketh's Black Blade
While strength may be one of the main attributes you'll need to focus on if you find yourself looking into colossal swords, it never hurts to have a backup plan. This is where Maliketh's Black Blade comes in. Not only is it an incredible weapon, but it's perfect for anyone who chose to focus on strength and faith at the same time.
The only issue is you'll need to fight Maliketh to get hold of this weapon, which is by no means an easy feat. However, if you manage it you'll unlock one of the best skills in the game, the Destined Death skill. Using this will unleash a flurry of attacks onto the enemy which is a devastating AOE that reduces the enemy's max health.
4 Grafted Blade Greatsword
The first thing that is worth mentioning is that this is a tough weapon to get, and even then it statistically doesn't do as much damage as the Greatsword at lower levels. However, once you begin scaling this weapon and getting it to be a little more powerful, even if it is a pain to upgrade, you'll start seeing the difference.
That and the fact that this weapon has a powerful unique skill that could come in handy if you're struggling in battle. It's called Oath Of Vengeance and is only found on this weapon, serving to increase all your attributes for a certain amount of time. This can be a game-changer or a lifesaver depending on the situation.
3 Royal Greatsword
If magic is one of your favorite things to use during a tough battle, or just in general, then the Royal Greatsword is perfect for you. After all, who doesn't want to use a weapon where the skill makes you do a summersault, plunge your sword into the ground, and release a freezing blast out to an unsuspecting enemy?
With a skill like that and the power this sword will grant you, it's really hard not to love it. You don't even need any faith to use it, just strength, dexterity, and intelligence. All this will grant you a great weapon that scales well and does some cool attacks.
2 Godslayer's Greatsword
The Godslayer's Greatsword is easily one of the best-looking colossal weapons in Elden Ring. It doesn't look that deadly with the curves and swirls, but as soon as you use this wonderful weapon you'll never want to put it down, especially if you're a paladin.
It needs some faith, and the more you have, the better this weapon is due to the incredible weapon scaling. Then comes the skill, Queen's Black Flame, which sets your weapon ablaze and sweeps it across the enemy, covering them in black flames and increasing the weapons range for a bit. It's just so much fun to use.
1 Starscourge Greatsword
While you may have to fight Starscourge Radahn to get hold of it, the Starscourge Greatsword is worth every rage-quit and every ridiculous death. It's powerful, perfect for any type of battle, and will easily carry you through the game and so much more.
Once you have this weapon, never put it down. After all, it has a gravity skill that brings them all close before exploding, killing most of the enemies you come up against, or at the very least, knocking them prone.
