So far, the biggest tributes fans are making to Elden Ring is beating bosses using innocuous objects like torches and bananas, but pretty soon I expect a flood of Elden Ring fan art to come pouring out of the internet.

And that flood may just be starting with Martin Nebelong, a Danish artist working at Media Molecule. Nebelong shared this gorgeous landscape that truly evokes the grandeur of Elden Ring, but this is not an Elden Ring screenshot. This was entirely made in Dreams.

You might remember Dreams as the PlayStation game-making game where talented artists and designers can both recreate classic scenes from movies or classic game franchises, but it can also be used to create entirely new masterpieces. Nebelong even has a timelapse video where you can see how he did it, too.

Starting with several buildings to create a far-off castle, Nebelong waggles the thumbsticks to create terrain, which mostly consists of rocky bluffs. Then a stone bridge passes over a massive gorge covered in fog and clouds. Throw in some trees, more rocks, some parapets, and more fog, and you eventually wind up with something that looks like it came straight out of Elden Ring.

The funny part is Nebelong hasn't even played Elden Ring yet. He's still working his way through Horizon Forbidden West, but from the looks of things, he's already got a handle on what to expect in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is having a fabulous debut as it tops the UK sales charts for the second week in a row. It's even beat out Gran Turismo 7 on its opening week, although GamesIndustry.biz reports that the total digital sales figures between Elden Ring, GT7, and Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 are very close.

Creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki was reportedly quite nervous heading into Elden Ring's release, but it turns out he really shouldn't have. Elden Ring is an instant classic and is likely to be at the top of everyone's mind when it comes time to pick 2022's game of the year.
