Elden Ring's The Lands Between is not a very welcoming place. As you travel the world, almost everything seems to want to kill you. And when you're playing a Soulsborne game, it's very likely that they've succeeded a few times. But there is one way to take a break from the constant violence. Players can come across the NPC Fia in the Roundtable Hold. She's quickly become a fan favourite because she is dedicated to performing one simple task: giving out hugs. Fia will hold the Tarnished whenever they ask, in what is probably the most adorable feature found in the game yet.Related: 7 Elden Ring Characters You Will Definitely Simp For"Great champion, would you allow me to hold you, but briefly?", she says, immediately inviting you in for the hug we all desperately need while playing Elden Ring. She even reassures you that she will hold you "as often as you need". Yep, best character, hands down.

Of course, she has already been labelled a "mommy" by fans. And let's be honest, FromSoftware knew what it was doing.

Allowing Fia to embrace you gives you the item Baldachin’s Blessing, which raises your Poise temporarily. You do get a debuff, minus 5 percent of your max HP, but who cares? Mommy held you.

Elden Ring fans aren't just getting all excited about being held for a bit. Of course, they're also making the most of the messaging system - leaving some of the most useless notes for other players to find. This can range from more innocent messages - such as calling every four-legged animal in the game a dog - to actively getting other players killed. The latter is accomplished by telling everyone to "try jumping" on the edge of cliffs, which some are actually trying, for some reason.

Oh, and because it's a Soulsborne game, the first message many players came across was "try fingers but hole". I love this community.
