Torrent, Elden Ring’s spectral steed, will no doubt go down in video game history as one of the greatest mounts a player could ever ride upon, right up there with the Skyrim horse and The Witcher’s Roach. And just like both horses, Torrent is buggy as all hell.

There’s already a bug that turns Torrent invisible and another that lets Torrent fly (a very helpful glitch, admittedly), but now there’s a bug that has Torrent take off away from the player, never to be seen or heard from again. Or at least, not until you reset the game.

Reddit user DogWoofWoof22 revealed the bug in their post asking Torrent to “please stay.” The bug seems to happen after the player runs towards a Lost Grace location and activates it while still on horseback. The player will get off to activate the Lost Grace while Torrent just keeps running in whatever direction he was originally.

This apparently isn’t a new bug, as another Redditor reported a similar issue that caused their own Torrent to keep running into the side of a cave. The only solution, unfortunately, is to save, exit, and reload your game.

While being Torrentless can be a significant handicap for Elden Ring players, being unable to use any weapons, shields, or sorceries is far worse. That's what Elden Ring speedrunner Distortion2 did in his latest video where he only used the Ash of War, Ground Slam, to defeat enemies. This was more difficult than it sounds since Ground Slam involves leaping into the air and then slamming the ground with your butt.

Believe it or not, there are very few enemies in Elden Ring vulnerable to ass-based attacks. Butt-slamming a dragon to death was no easy feat. Check out the full video here, and then watch Distortion2 beat Elden Ring in less time than it takes to order a burrito.
