Steam’s most wishlisted game has gone gold a month ahead of its planned release. Elden Ring will release on PC and consoles in late February, which gives developer FromSoftware plenty of time to further refine the Dark Souls-inspired action RPG. But in the meantime, we’ve got plenty of new game footage to share courtesy of the Taipei Game Show.

FromSoftware revealed over five minutes of brand-new footage at the Taipei Game Show showing magic spells, massive enemies, and the incredible variety that players will have in customizing their characters. Even though the video is entirely in Japanese, the gameplay footage speaks for itself.

From a dragon attacking a random group of bandits to the player character launching themselves skyward on a pillar of air, Elden Ring's environments will be as varied as the enemies you'll face. But at the root of it all is the same Dark Souls-inspired gameplay that you've come to expect, just expanded for a brand-new world.

It's not just dragons players could face. Giant creatures armed with even larger swords and axes, humans in armor, or risen skeletons all form a variety of opponents that seem well-placed in Elden Ring's dark and gloomy landscape.

Your character can range from a classic knight in shining armor to an ax-wielding barbarian to a hunter fighting with dual whips. Magic is also something that players can specialize in, with part of the footage showcasing a robed magician with a wooden staff riding atop a magic horse.

Magic spells included arrows, ghostly summoned wolves and eagles, and a magic horse with horns. A bull horse, if you will.

We also got to see Elden Ring’s map in far greater detail than before. It looks almost the same as the map revealed in a recent datamine from a group of Chinese beta players. That leak confirmed several locations as well as revealing parts of Elden Ring’s story.

Elden Ring arrives on February 25 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 & 5, and PC via Steam.
