Elden Ring has been a phenomenal hit. With so much to do, there are things being discovered months after the game's launch. What's even more interesting is that fans of the series have marked it as the easiest FromSoftware game to obtain all the trophies in.

Of all the developer's releases, Elden Ring has the highest completion percentage on PlayStation, meaning that you'll have an easier time with it than the likes of Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3. However, Elden Ring is still a challenging game, full of numerous tough bosses and obstacles to overcome before you can nab that 100 percent completion. Let's go over the toughest achievements you can find in the game.

10 Age Of The Stars Requires Completing A Long Quest

Ranni stands in front of the moon during Elden Ring's Age of the Stars ending

Ranni the Witch has become one of the fan-favorite characters in Elden Ring. Surrounding her is a long questline that needs multiple steps to be completed. You'll work side by side with her other constituents to uncover betrayals, a hidden doll, and even a hidden boss. Once you complete all steps to the quest, you'll be face to face with the boss, Astel.

After that, you have to beat the game normally by taking down Radagon and the Elden Beast. Instead of sitting upon the Elden Throne, you'll be faced with a summon sign for Ranni, which will trigger an entirely new ending. Then the achievement will trigger.

9 Shardbearer Malenia Has Never Known Defeat

The majority of the achievements are earned by defeating unique bosses. As such, the harder bosses will put up a fight before giving you an achievement. Needless to say, defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella is one of the toughest tasks in the game.

Not only do you have to get to the end of an optional, massive dungeon, but you'll have to defeat another unique boss before you can get to her. Once in the fight, you'll have a rough time dealing with her fast attacks, self-healing, two phases, and flurry attack. She is an infamous boss for a good reason.

8 Lord Of The Frenzied Flame Is A Secret Within A Secret

Elden Ring frenzied Flame Ending

FromSoftware is no stranger to secrets, and Elden Ring is no exception. To get this ending, you'll need to return to Leyndell after burning the Erdtree. You'll find a passage hidden among the ashes that takes you down to some secret catacombs and a boss fight.

At the end of it, you'll find the Cathedral of the Forsaken. There is a hidden wall behind the altar that reveals a new path where you have to jump down on small footholds. One false step and you'll fall to your death. At the bottom is a set of doors where you will receive a mark. Beat Radagon and the Elden Beast to trigger a new, fiery ending and earn the trophy.

7 You'll Need To Tackle Bosses And NPCs To Get Legendary Armaments

Elden Ring Legendary Armaments

Elden Ring encourages experimentation with your build. Even the starting classes are more suggestions rather than commitments. Throughout your playthrough, you may find some Legendary Armaments that require high stats to use. They come equipped with some amazing abilities that can make quick work of tough enemies and bosses.

To get the Legendary Armaments achievement, you'll need to find every single one in the game. Because certain armaments are attached to NPCs that disappear, tracking them down can be difficult depending on how far you've progressed in your journey.

6 Maliketh The Black Blade Will Take Your Health Bar Away

Maliketh, the Black Blade in Elden Ring

At the end of Crumbling Farum Azula is another infamous Elden Ring boss. Maliketh's first phase sees him covered in a hood and cloak, using beast spells and fast attacks to keep you on your toes. Once you whittle him down enough, he'll remove the cloak and transform into a black lion with a huge sword.

In his second phase, Maliketh has massive attacks, does a lot of damage, and will flat-out shorten your health bar (leaving you unable to heal back to full health). There is little room for error with this boss, which makes the Maliketh The Black Blade achievement one of the most difficult in the game.

5 To Get Legendary Ashes, You'll Need To Explore A Lot

Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring

Ashen remains lead to some of the strongest additions to any FromSoftware. At the press of a button, you can summon the spirit of an enemy, mini-boss, or even yourself to assist in battle. While you'll probably go out of your way to grab the Mimic Tear or Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ashes, acquiring every single one requires a lot of exploration.

Several ashes are hidden behind mini-dungeons and Evergaol bosses. You'll need to be extremely thorough to find them all, on top of tackling some nasty enemies.

4 Shardbearer Mohg Has An Unavoidable Attack

Mohg, Lord of Blood confronts the player after making a pact with the Formless Mother

Mohg can be beaten fairly easily if you have the right spells attached. However, many players like using melee builds to tackle bosses one-on-one and learning their attacks. Mohg is one of the bosses that might make you rethink that approach.

He doesn't have a lot of health, but he hits hard and uses fire spells to make up any distance. Unfortunately, Mohg also has two phases, including an attack that you are required to heal through, putting you at a disadvantage whether you like it or not. Once you beat him, you'll be rewarded with the Shardbearer Mohg achievement.

3 Legendary Talismans Are Hidden Very Well

Radagons Icon Talisman Elden Ring

Talismans can make or break a build in Elden Ring. Adding useful passive abilities or stat increases can make the difference between beating the boss or getting defeated. Legendary Talismans offer very useful attributes to turn your build from good to great. However, finding them is easier said than done.

FromSoftware hid these items extremely well, making them nearly impossible to find without a guide. Some of them are also guarded by NPC invasions and multiple enemies who won't go down without a fight. You'll need to find them all to obtain the Legendary Talismans trophy.

2 Dragonlord Placidusax Is Hard To Find And Hard To Beat

Placidusax floating in the air.

Dragonlord Placidusax could make this list solely on how well the boss is hidden in the game. In Crumbling Farum Azula, you have to platform down to some floating footholds close to the big tornado. Then, you need to realize that one of the divots in the last platform doesn't have a body in it.

Stand over it to get a prompt to rest in it. Once you do, you're transported to an arena where a two-headed dragon is ready to face you. Dragonlord Placidusax can teleport, shoots lightning from the sky, and forces you to constantly look around. After you claw your way through this fight, the Dragonlord Placidusax achievement will be yours.

1 Legendary Sorceries And Incantations Will Take You A Long Time To Complete

When it comes to the collection achievements in Elden Ring, acquiring all the Legendary Sorceries and Incantations will probably take you the most time. To get these all-powerful spells, you'll need to go out of your way.

For example, to get one spell, you'll need to do Ranni's questline (minus beating the final boss). Another sees you tackling a sleeping dragon surrounded by a horde of dragon enemies. FromSoftware will put you through your paces before you can have access to Comet Azur or Elden Stars. Be prepared for tough challenges to get them all.
