Elden Ring features a hub area similar to Demon's Souls' Nexus or Dark Souls 3's Firelink Shrine. This hub area is called Roundtable Hold. You can enter this hub at any time to upgrade your weapons, spirits, purchase items for your adventure, and progress NPC quests.

How To Unlock Roundtable Hold
You unlock Roundtable Hold by resting at one of two Shrines of Grace:
- Stormveil Main Gate: Unlocked by defeating Margit, the Fell Omen.
- Lake-Facing Cliffs: Located directly north of Stormveil Castle, typically accessed after defeating Godrick.
Rest at the shrine to start a conversation with Melina. She'll ask you to visit Roundtable Hold. You can't say no, so accept her request.
If you don't want to spend hours fighting Gordrick's soldiers, there's a much faster way of unlocking this hub area. Follow the path north of Stormhill Shack until you reach a bridge. Climb down the debris at the end of the bridge to access a narrow path on a cliffside. Follow the path until you reach a Shrine of Grace; you can't miss it. Rest at the Shrine to unlock Roundtable Hold.
Fast Traveling To Roundtable Hold
Once you've unlocked Roundtable Hold, you'll only be able to access it through fast travel. Roundtable Hold is located at the bottom-left of your map as the "Table of Lost Grace" shrine.
So long as you aren't actively clearing a dungeon or in combat, you can fast travel to and from this area at any time.

Roundtable has a few key features that make it worth unlocking early on in your playthrough:
- Weapon Refining: A blacksmith can refine your weapons to levels well beyond what's possible at the Church of Elleh.
- Spirit Tuning: After a short NPC quest, you'll be able to upgrade the strength of your Spirit Ashes.
- Incantation Vendor: An NPC vendor sells Faith spells.
- Hugs: An NPC here can hug you. That should be enough reason to go here.
