Elden Ring has many mysterious and beautiful areas, with Siofra River being an excellent example of one. Siofra River is found deep underground and is a rather expansive area with luxuriant fields and a stunning night sky. You can access Siofra River a couple of ways, with the first way being via lift found in Limgrave at the Siofra Water Well, and the other being by way of the Deep Siofra Well located in Caelid.
One of your primary objects when reaching Siofra River will be to light eight braziers located on obelisks scattered across the vast region. In the guide below, we will detail precisely where each of them is, so you can access one of the best bosses the game has to offer.
Overview
Once you reach Siofra River in Elden Ring, you will get tasked with igniting eight braziers found on obelisks in the area. Lighting every brazier will allow you to gain access to the Ancestor Spirit boss fight located within the Hollowhorn Grounds near the entrance of Siofra River.
This guide will show you the location of all eight braziers but will not cover the ensuing boss fight. The image above has all of them marked with the Diamond Marker, along with lines indicating the best route to take to each one. Start from the south end of the map, then work your way up, but be prepared for many strong and persistent enemies.

Brazier Locations
With each brazier you ignite, a corresponding obelisk at the Hollowhorn Grounds will also spawn a flame, indicating that you were successful in your endeavor. The Hollowhorn Grounds is located in the southeastern part of Siofra River.
Please note that this area is incredibly challenging and has many enemies just as persistent as they are powerful. We will do our best to warn you about all of the potential hazards leading to each brazier, but it's best to go into all of them extra cautious!
Brazier 1
When first entering Siofra River, there will be a long, narrow path of water that leads you to the first Site of Grace and the open fields of the area. Activate the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace and look to the northeast. You will see an obelisk between two trees, with the Hollowhorn Grounds just to the east. There are no threats here, so just walk up to the obelisk and light the first brazier!
Brazier 2
Head west from the previous brazier until you find several pillars that lead out of the water and onto a slight incline. Follow the pathway up to see the obelisk and brazier in the far back, surrounded by large cliffs. On your way to this brazier, you can encounter a giant crab, but you can easily avoid it by passing by it when it turns around. However, there will be a handful of ghost warriors around the obelisk that are unavoidable, so be prepared to take them on!
Brazier 3
The third brazier can be found just northeast of the previous one and is located on a small island in the middle of the river. It is north of the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace for reference. While finding this brazier isn't challenging, lighting it certainly can be. As you approach the island, an assortment of ghost warriors and archers will spawn in, which can make things a tad frustrating. We recommend taking the group of enemies down via riding on Torrent, as it makes it much harder for the archers to hit you. Additionally, please try to avoid attracting other crowds of enemies from the different areas, as it will likely not end well for you if you do.
Brazier 4
After dealing with the chaos of the third brazier, prepare for an even crazier time with the fourth one. When on the island where you ignited the previous brazier, head east until you come across stone columns. The brazier will be located between the stone columns and surrounded by enemies as well. There are many enemies here, so please be extra cautious when making your way to this obelisk. Like the last one, the enemies are an assortment of ghost warriors and archers that pack a punch. We also highly recommend using Torrent to dispatch the enemies here.
Brazier 5
Head north from the previous brazier until you find the Worshippers' Woods Site of Grace and activate it before continuing onward. There will be some enemies on your way there, so take your time and avoid doing anything too hasty. Once at the Site of Grace, head south until you see large pillars and trees. The obelisk will be visible as soon as you head south from the Site of Grace. There will be electric orbs in the area that can catch you off-guard, so be ready for them and avoid their attacks before lighting the brazier.
Brazier 6
Following the previous brazier, head west across the river and onto another patch of land where you will find brazier number six! There will be a giant crab that is entirely avoidable on your way there, along with a handful of ghost warriors, but nothing unmanageable (especially if you could handle the previous ones). This brazier is also west of the Worshipers' Woods Site of Grace if you need another point of reference. To find it easily, look for the base of a cliff with a large tree at the bottom. The obelisk is directly next to the tree.
Brazier 7
After lighting the brazier number six, warp back to the Worshipers' Woods Site of Grace, then head north. Stick to the righthand side of the route, near the cliffside, but watch your step and for enemies. The seventh brazier is just past a teleporter you'll find on the ground and surrounded by rats and ghost warriors. This combination of enemies can be excruciating to deal with, as they can stunlock you into oblivion. We recommend using Torrent here, too, as you can get in a few hits, bounce, and then repeat the cycle until you have them all defeated. However, you can spawn in ghost archers if you go too far in any one direction, and we strongly suggest you don't do that.
Brazier 8
With the seventh brazier lit, head west and up the cliffside to see a group of ghost warriors and rats huddled around the eighth and final brazier. Similar to the last one, fighting your way to the obelisk is not an easy task. We recommend luring the rats to you by throwing either daggers or knives at them, then taking the ghost warriors on while using Torrent. You can pull the rats away from them quite easily, which is an excellent way to save yourself the frustration and agony of this ungodly combination of enemies. As with the others, be mindful of going too far off course, so you don't end up attracting the annoying archers.
The Hollowhorn Grounds
After lighting the final brazier, warp to the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace and head east. You will see a large staircase with four flaming pillars on either side of it. Head up the stairs and into the Hollowhorn Grounds and head to the end of the walkway. Here, you will find the remains of a horned beast. Touch the horned remains to get transported to the Ancestor Spirit boss fight!
