There were plenty of iconic franchises shown off during the joint Xbox and Bethesda showcase, but we also got to see some promising new games as well. One of these was Ereban: Shadow Legacy by developer Baby Robot Games and publisher Raw Fury, a stealthy, fast-paced platformer that has players taking down robot guards and sneaking around in the shadows. We didn't get a specific release date, but the game will launch on PC and Xbox consoles at some point in 2023, with a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.

The trailer for the game was pretty short but sweet, giving us a look at the world and some gameplay. It shows the player taking down lots of robotic soldiers with some fancy abilties and quickly moving across the ground and on walls with a neat shadow ability. With a lovely, cel-shaded art style, Ereban kind of looks like a mixture of titles such as Sly Cooper and Aragami.

While the trailer itself was pretty crypitc about a potential plot, its description gives us a better picture. Ereban: Shadow Legacy has you playing as a woman called Ayana, the last descendant of a forgotten race that can use shadow powers to defeat their enemies. As Ayana, you'll need to sneak and slice your way thrugh enemies to uncover the truth about your past and save the universe.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy was just one of the smaller promising titles shown off during the Xbox and Bethesda joint showcase, as the show was chock full of good-looking new IP to look forward to. For example, titles shown off were a new narrative-driven title from Obsidian Entertainment called Pentiment, a Ninja Gaiden-esque action game called Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from Team Ninja, and a gothic metroidvania called The Last Case of Benedict Fox that lets players team up with a demon to explore people's minds.

We didn't get release dates for any of these, but they are expected to drop at some point next year.
