Gain A Horse For Reaching Level 10
The easiest way to get your first mount is by simply leveling up to level 10. This doesn't take long, as you will level up rapidly when you first start the game. If you complete quests, you could have your first mount within a few hours.
The mount you unlock at level 10 is the Sorrel Horse. When you reach level 10, make sure you collect your leveling rewards to retrieve your horse. Then you can equip it by going to the collections menu.
How To Buy A Mount With Gold
Mounts can be purchased from stables across Tamriel. You will usually find these in major cities and hub locations. Approach the Stablemaster to ask about the horses that they have for sale.
Horses that you can buy from stables are very expensive for new players, with the cheapest mount costing 42,700 gold. However, if you have a friend who has played the game for a long time and wants to help, they could send you the required gold using The Elder Scrolls Online's mail system.
Buy A Mount From The Crown Store
The Crown Store is The Elder Scrolls Online's shop, where you can spend money to buy an in-game currency called Crowns. You can then use these crowns to purchase various items, such as experience scrolls, pets, and mounts. Crown Crates are also available, which are loot boxes with exclusive rewards.
There are lots of mounts in the Crown Store, and some of them do look really cool. However, it's worth noting that the mounts sold in the Crown Store are not better.
