Halloween is right around the corner, and The Elder Scrolls Online is getting ready for the spooky holiday with its annual Witches Festival. Starting October 21 at 10am ET and running until November 2, you'll be able to collect exclusive rewards and earn boosted XP, Event Tickets, and other collectibles.

Like all ESO events, this one is easy to jump into – simply navigate to the Crown Store, and you'll see the quest available for free. Completing The Witchmother's Bargain will earn you the Witchmother's Whistle memento, which grants you a two-hour 100% XP buff. Not only that, but using the whistle gives you a chance to turn your character into one of the undead creatures roaming the land of Tamriel.

If you're not looking for additional XP and would rather pick up some exclusive gear, ESO has you covered. During the Witches Festival, taking down a boss will grant you a Plunder Skull that might contain one of the following items:

  • Fragments of the new Witch-Tamed Bear Dog pet called Bonedust Pigments
    • Combine 10 fragments to craft this collectible
  • Hollowjack style items
  • Dremora style items
  • Witches Festival-themed recipes
  • Witches Festival-themed furnishings and furnishing recipes
  • Bewitching Alchemy reagents

Better yet, defeating a boss for the first time will earn you a Dremora Plunder Skull that adds a few extra goodies to your potential earnings. This includes Dremora Motif chapter pages, Witches Festival Writs, Glenmoril Treasure Maps, Glenmoril Armor Outfit Style pages, and more.

As usual, The Impresario will be hanging around in popular locations, offering gear in exchange for your Event Tickets. You can earn two tickets from the first boss monster you defeat each day, and you'll find the following items up for grabs:

  • All three Unstable Morpholith pet fragments
    • The Deadlands Flint, Rune-Etched Striker, and Smoldering Bloodgrass Tinder
  • The first TWO fragments for Doomchar Plateau, the morphing collectible house
    • The Scorching Pillar and Searing Column
  • Marshmallow Toasty Treat Emote
  • Witch's Bonfire Dust Memento
  • Fragments for the Witch-Tamed Bear-Dog pet
    • Called Bonedust Pigments
  • A host of spooky furnishings
  • Group Repair Kits
  • Witches Grab Bags
    • Containing collectibles from previous Witches Festival events

The Witches Festival in Elder Scrolls Online begins on October 21 and runs until November 2.
