A bar with themed cocktails and DJs is coming to Washington this summer to celebrate the ever-growing world of esports.

The esports industry is growing at an alarming rate. It is estimated that it is already worth around $1 billion. Games such as Fortnite, Overwatch, Madden, and FIFA have really set the arena alight, with some tournaments offering up prize pools made up of millions of dollars. You'll even be able to watch esports on ESPN this summer.

Like any sport, though, nothing compares to the thrill of seeing it live. This summer, Events DC and Drink Company are teaming up to bring esports lovers an experience like no other. It's basically exactly what you would imagine considering the company names and the subject matter: A massive pop-up bar will be focused around esports, according to Washingtonian. The bar will be popping up in Washington.

The event will be called Levels Unlocked: House Of DC Heroes. Since the bar will be made up of three rooms, it will focus in on three different games: Overwatch, Super Smash Bros., and NBA2K, so there will be something for everyone. Drink Company will be supplying cocktails inspired by the games in attendance, and there will also be DJs from the esports world playing music.

Gamers at SXSW in Austin, Texas actually had the chance to get a little taste of what Washingtonians can expect from the Levels Unlocked bar this week. While they obviously didn't set up the entire bar, Events DC staged an event where people had the chance to play alongside some of their favorite professional gamers. "What other sport do you get a chance to see LeBron James play in the game and be side-by-side?" asked Events DC CEO Gregory O’Dell.

News of the Levels Unlocked pop-up bar has made those of us who don't live anywhere near Washington extremely jealous. What better way to celebrate the esports industry than to take in some competitive Super Smash Bros. while sipping on a Ganondorf martini?

If you live in the area, then it sounds like a can't miss event. For everyone else, hopefully Events DC and Drink Company decide to take the event on tour.
