Given the fickle economy of Eve Online, determining the cost of a ship is no small feat. The price of any given ship is determined by the fluctuating cost of materials, hanger rent, tax, usefulness in battle, and popularity. A ship could be worth billions one month only to drop to millions the next, usually thanks to a patch.

That being said, there are some ships that consistently remain expensive to buy or build. It could be because of how rare they are, the length of time it takes to build them, or the fact that they’re flying bait for zealous Killboard climbers. The costs in this list are estimates based on various sources and do not include any rare or limited edition ships such as the Gold Magnate or Cockroach.

Updated on October 31, 2021, by Jeff Drake: The old saying, "You get what you pay for", is just as true in the Eve Online universe. Sure, there are some great ships that can be gotten on the cheap. However, if you want to fly with the eagles, you can't surround yourself with Kestrels. The ships on this list are gigantic apex predators with absolutely no fear of encountering a hostile ship they can't defeat - mainly because many players rarely deploy their best ships for fear of losing them, and the resources spent obtaining them. With so many ships in Eve Online, limiting this list to ten entries seems... well limiting. So, this update will add additional entries.

15 Rhea - 2.3 Billion ISK

The Rhea is a Jump Freighter in Eve Online

The Rhea is not built for war or exploration - it's a Jump Freighter class ship. As you might expect for a freighter of this cost, it can carry a tremendous amount of goods. The Rhea has a cargo capacity of 144000 meters cubed. The next ship on this is a Supercarrier, and has a cargo capacity of only 1740 meters cubed. Even Titan class ships usually only have about 10000 meters cubed of cargo space.

The drawback here is that this ship is only minimally capable of defending itself. It's probably better to use smaller freighters to mitigate any loss should the ship get destroyed.

14 Wyvern - 14 Billion ISK

The Wyvern is a Caldari State Supercarrier in Eve Online

The Wyvern is the Caldari State's Supercarrier. A Supercarrier is a superior ship for deploying Fighters, Heavy Fighters, and Bombers. Supercarriers can carry three Fighter squadrons and four Heavy Fighter squadrons; they have five Squadron Launch Tubes. These carry enough Fighters to make it worthwhile to use them as a primary weapon.

Supercarriers also give a hefty bonus to the damage and hit points of the Fighters it deploys. All Supercarriers are immune to all forms of electronic warfare. The Wyvern has a bonus to Shield Resistances that other Supercarriers don't get, five percent per skill level.

13 Hel - 14.2 Billion ISK

The Hel is a Minmatar Supercarrier in Eve Online

The Hel is a Supercarrier deployed by the Minmatar Republic. Developed in secret, and designed to resemble a saw-toothed shark, the Hel is a powerful Supercarrier that gets bonuses to remote shield restoration and armor repair. In addition to this, the Hel gets the standard bonuses inherent to all Supercarriers - like a bonus to the range, hit points, and damage of the Fighters it deploys.

The Hel's bonuses are great for a Supercarrier. Once it deploys its Fighters and Bombers it can focus on keeping the other ships in the fleet in working condition.

12 Aeon - 14.6 Billion ISK

The Aeon is an Amarr Supercarrier in Eve Online

The Aeon is used as a Supercarrier by the Amarr Empire. The Aeon is a sleek ship that gets a bonus to its defensive capabilities - a five percent bonus to all armor resistances per skill level. After a few skill levels this bonus, when added to the Aeon's base resistances, can get the armor resistances close to 50 percent.

Fighters don't destroy enemy ships as quickly as beam weapons and missiles can. It takes a while to deploy your squadrons and then it takes the Fighters time to get to the target; this makes having a strong defense is a must. The Aeon also gets a 50 percent bonus to its Capital Remote Capacitor Transmitter per skill level.

11 Nyx - 15.8 Billion ISK

The Nyx is a Gallente Supercarrier in Eve Online

The Nyx is the Gallente Federation's Supercarrier. This ship was designed to resemble the scepter of Doule dos Rouvenor III, a Gallente king who was beloved by the people. This technologically advanced ship, along with the Erebus, is meant to be the tip of the spear that is the Gallente fleet.

Its bonuses are similar to the other factions' Supercarriers with one exception - the Nyx's Fighters and Heavy Fighters get a five percent bonus to damage per skill level. This bonus to damage potentially makes the Nyx the hardest-hitting of the Supercarriers. This helps the Nyx counter the defensive bonuses of the Aeon.

10 Revenant – 27 Billion ISK

Eve Online Revenant

The Revenant is a Supercarrier belonging to the pirate faction Sansha’s Nation. The only way to build one is from an extremely rare BPC that drops from the Sansha’s Nation Motherships. Because of this and the cost to build not many players in the game have these in hangers.

There’s also the factor that Supercarriers, in general, are hot items in the Eve Online universe. These are the monsters in Null Sec making boatloads of money ratting pirates AFK. Combining these two elements is a ship that often goes for around 27 billion ISK on the rare occasions it appears for sale.

9 Leviathan – 40 Billion ISK

Eve Online Leviathan

The Leviathan is the Titan class ship of the Caldari State. It is one of the largest ships in the galaxy and its Doomsday weapon makes it extremely powerful. For the most part Titans in Eve Online are interchangeable save for a few differences in armor, shields, and low-level weaponry.

The Leviathan is one of the lesser popular Titans at the moment due to armor over shield metas, though this is changing with the popularity of Force Auxiliaries. While 40 billion ISK may seem like a lot they used to sell for 150 billion ISK on average. The lower price is likely due to the market finding ways to produce them cheaper and more frequently.

8 Ragnarok – 40 Billion ISK

Eve Online Ragnarok

The Ragnarok is the Titan belonging to the fierce Minmatar Republic. This ship is a symbol of independence for a nation that has seen hard times in the game’s lore. On paper, the Ragnarok is the fastest titan in the game and has the best Doomsday device.

Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a glass cannon compared to other Titans and often gets prioritized first in battles. This makes the ship less popular resulting in a price tag of 40 Billion ISK whenever one is put up for sale.

7 Loggerhead – 46 Billion ISK

Eve Online Loggerhead

The Loggerhead is the Force Auxiliary ship of the Guristas, a pirate nation that uses smuggling, raids, and illegal currency exchanges to make their wealth. The Loggerhead is their pride and joy and offers incredible bonuses to any fleet attached to it.

The Loggerhead is similar to the Revenant in that it rare drops from specific Gurista ships. This is considered the backbone of many powerful fleets of the largest alliances and is very much in demand. On the rare occasions it’s publicly sold, it easily sells for around 46 Billion ISK.

6 Erebus – 50 Billion ISK

Eve Online Erebus

The Erebus is the pride and joy of the Gallente Federation. The warriors of freedom constructed a dark and brooding Titan class ship that boasts powerful armor and weaponry. The only reason it isn’t the most popular Titan in the galaxy is that the Avatar has just a bit more armor.

Still the Erebus is in demand with many corporations and alliances and sees plenty of use in battle. Some players also prefer the darker ship to the golden Avatar. These ships often sell on the low side of 50 billion ISK.

5 Avatar – 50 Billion ISK

Eve Online Avatar

The Avatar is the Titan ship of the Amarr Empire. These religious zealots believe it's their sacred destiny to conquer and dominate all life in the universe. The Avatar was constructed to assist with that purpose and serves well in that role.

Avatars are very popular as they can fit the most armor making them the de facto tanks among Titans. Many players are also drawn to their unique design and golden hulls. While they were once worth more than 150 Billion ISK they’ve seen a price drop with players selling them for around 50 Billion ISK in recent years.

4 Vendetta – 160 Billion ISK

Eve Online Vendetta

The Vendetta is the twist on the popular Nyx ship by the Serpentis pirate faction. These drug runners have enhanced and altered the Supercarrier using Minmatar technology to be a fearsome fighter. The result is a stronger more resilient ship.

Because of how popular Nyx ships are for ratting in Null Sec the Vendetta is far more valuable. It gives alliances a slight edge in battle when thrown into combat. Of course, the downside is the ship has a rare BPC that only drops from certain Serpentis Shipyards. This rarity, usefulness, and popularity result in a ship worth 160 billion ISK.

3 Vanquisher - 240 Billion ISK

Eve Online Vanquisher

The Vanquisher is the enhanced version of the Erebus by the Serpentis pirates. With their vast wealth and resources, they’ve enhanced the already devastating Titan into something even more fearsome. Supposedly it was created with the intention of sowing even more chaos in the open world.

It’s a Titan ship that can only be obtained under very rare circumstances and requires the resources of an alliance of player corporations. If these stars align it results in the creation of a very in-demand and popular ship. These ships are estimated to be worth something north of 240 Billion ISK.

2 Komodo- 400 Billion ISK

Eve Online Komodo

The Komodo is the Gurista pirate's twist on the Leviathan. These greedy criminals have utilized their wealth and black market tech to combine the Caldari Titan with Gallente tech. The result is a brutal fighter that can easily tackle standard Titans.

For players wanting the missile and drone Titan, it takes considerable effort. The BPC only drops from Gurista Shipyards and very rarely at that. Then there’s the task of constructing one safely. Once all is said and done is a ship that’s worth about 400 Billion ISK if it ever hits the market.

1 Molok - 500 Billion ISK

Eve Online Molok

By far the most valuable in-game ship that isn’t something used by CCP developers is the Molok. It’s the Avatar built and modified by the blood-drinking Blood Raiders. True to their dark nature the ship is a master at draining energy from opponents and can hold thousands of corpses on board.

Thanks to its energy-draining powers and better tank ability than the Avatar the Molok is in high demand. The BPC can only be obtained from Blood Raider Shipyards which are in the heart of Delve the current seat of the most powerful player-led faction in the game, the Goonswarm. This is an incredibly rare ship that makes headlines whenever one appears in battle or is destroyed. If a Molok is ever sold to the public players will happily pay at least 500 billion ISK for it.
