Awesome Indies just took place as part of this year’s Gamescom and highlighted over 40 different indie games coming in the next couple of years.

One of the first highlights of the show was Serial Cleaners, which has you cleaning up bodies at a murder scene, as well as apparently participating in some of the carnage. It's arriving in Early 2022 and is coming to all consoles. The next big game was Loopmancer, which essentially looks like a 2D Devil May Cry, with action combat and some side-scrolling platforming, all wrapped up in a Cyberpunk aesthetic. There was no release date or consoles for that one.

Roots of Pacha

Conscript was the next highlight of the show. It's an isometric title with graphics and gameplay straight out of the original Resident Evil, except it's set during a World War. Roots of Pacha was another big highlight and looks like a prehistoric Stardew Valley, complete with farming and plenty of wholesome activities.

Eville also got a showcase during the stream, and it looks like it's essentially a medieval Among Us. When you die, you get to go to an underworld area and still influence how the match plays out. It's available as a demo on Steam now. Terror Of Hemasauras was one of the most exciting games shown during the show and is a 2D beat-em-up in the style of the original Rampage. In it, you control a kaiju and have to destroy a pixelized city. It's coming in 2022 to all consoles and Steam.
