Much Like The Terminator, Evil Dead’s Ash Accidentally Leaked As Mortal Kombat’s Newest DLC Character

Ash Williams will be a new Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character, according to a new leak from a Google ad.

Ash Williams

Just as how we found out the Terminator will be in Mortal Kombat 11, so too do we have confirmation that Evil Dead’s Ash Williams is on his way as a DLC character.

Earlier, we reported that the Terminator had been all but confirmed as Mortal Kombat 11’s next DLC character due to a leaked Google ad. Typing “Mortal Kombat Terminator” into a Google search brought back a top link that directed back to the official Mortal Kombat website saying “New Character Terminator” in the field.

Now it appears a similar leak for Ash Williams of the Evil Dead franchise is also on his way, and we learned about it from the same source.

The YouTube channel Dynasty points out a similar search for “Mortal Kombat Ash Williams” brings up a similar Google ad that seems to confirm Ash as another DLC character. These ads appeared last weekend and appear to have since been taken down.

This isn’t quite a smoking gun, but it’s about as close as we can get without NeathRealm Studios just coming out an officially announcing Ash will be a DLC character.

The real question is whether or not he’ll be part of the Kombat Pack DLC. Two mystery characters are said to be included in the first DLC pack, out in early access June 18th and for everyone else on June 25th, and while Ash and the Terminator are now basically confirmed, the timing might not be right. The new Terminator film drops in November, and movie producers might want him to come as a DLC a little closer to the release of the film.

So far we haven’t heard of anything in particular going on with the Evil Dead franchise, so perhaps Ash will be at least one of those characters.

Earlier rumors also indicated that The Joker from DC Comics would be another possible character, which wouldn’t be difficult given that the same studio that makes Mortal Kombat 11 also made Injustice 2.

One thing is for certain: we can now call BS on Ash actor Bruce Campbell’s adamant denials that he’d be a Mortal Kombat 11 character.
