My Team lets players and Formula 1 fans create their very own teams to compete with the best teams in the world of Formula 1 racing for the shot at making Formula 1 history and earning glory for everyone involved. My Team in F1 2021 works differently than other My Team modes, like NBA 2K's with its different colored cards for the pros. It is not like that at all in F1 2021's My Team mode. Personalize The Team To Your Liking

The game offers a lot of freedom when it comes to making your team totally unique when compared to others. Not only can you customize the name of your team and its logo, but you can also create your own driver who serves as the man in charge of everything and the digital representation of yourself if you wish.

Make sure you are absolutely happy with what you got since unlike other sports games, you can't go back and change these later on down the line so keep that in mind.

Sponsors are the bread and butter of sports since it is where money comes from and money is very important in My Team. Before you start you will have the option of choosing between four primary sponsors: XXY, Monnaie Paris, Duotone and Moon. Each sponsor has different goals they want achieved and have varying amounts of signing bonuses, goal bonus and weekly income.

There are also secondary sponsors to choose from which consist of a different amount of brands. Though they may not provide as much money as the primary sponsors, having them provides additional income in the long run.

Choosing your engine is the next big thing as these are what will be powering your car. The car sponsors have a performance and durability rating and may favor one over the other or be balanced. There are four choices you have which are Renault, Honda, Mercedes and Ferrari. Both sponsors and engines can be changed but only between seasons.

Sometimes racing alone can be tough which is where your number two driver comes in. They will race alongside you and help you score points when you can't. It especially comes in handy when you have realistic mechanics turned on, such as mechanical failujres.

In the beginning you can only choose from one of six drivers, all of which are Formula 2 drivers, which do not include anyone from the icons if you have that enabled. But after half a year, when their contracts are up, you will be able to choose anyone you want from the selection the game provides you.

Control Over R&D And Departments

Even if you are a great driver, you need to constantly improve your car to ensure you stay at the top of the game. This is where Research and Development comes in. It has four focuses on a car: aerodynamics, chassis, powertrain and durability. Some areas will be more developed than others so it it is best to wokr on the less developed areas first.

Then there is the department aspect which consists of the people building the necessary tools to better improve everything there is to your F1 vehicle. This is split into six categories which each have a particular fouces. Those categories are the four mentioned above, marketing and personnel.

This lets you get control of just about all apsects of a car's development. Upgrades though take time to implement so make sure you spend resource points as soon as you have them. Money is needed to provide funding on these upgrades whereas research points can help drive the team forward.

One decision might involve addressing staff burnout. Though helping relieve their stress will raise morale, it will also result in a loss of money that could be spent improving your vehicle. This is one of many decisions you will have to make that will not only affect your staff, but the team as a whole and your chances of winning the championship and a spot on the podium.
