F1 Manager 2022 launched at the end of August but it's already ending support as Frontier has announced that the next patch will be its last major update. This is to "ensure [that] upcoming F1 Manager projects realise their potential."

As reported by Eurogamer, Frontier explained, "This next update for F1 Manager 2022 will be the last significant update that addresses player-reported feedback, or suggested changes and additions. Any potential updates following this would be minor patches that do not noticeably affect gameplay."

F1 Manager 2022 was reviewed well by critics, but players jumped to highlight its buggy launch and problems, with many now voicing frustration at the announcement. This final update will address some of these complaints, updating car models to "differentiate their look" while also addressing qualifiers' fuel usage problems.

Most of the comments on the announcement are players angry at the lack of support, with one highlighting that F1 Manager 2022 will stop receiving major updates before the F1 season has even finished, and this has sparked many to say that they won't be buying into next year's release which is the driving factor behind axing 2022's support.

F1 Manager 2022 is Jurassic World Evolution studio Frontier Developments' first foray into the world of Formula One, letting you build up your own unique team. With this being the first game in a planned series, the rocky launch and quickly axed support doesn't bode well, so it remains to be seen how Frontier will pull off a sequel, though many are upset that a lot of the more noteworthy bugs and issues have yet to be addressed.

For instance, an infamous unlapping issue won't be fixed as Frontier claims it would "require significant gameplay alterations that are just not within the scope for this game." Right now, the subreddit is filled with posts calling out Frontier and voicing anger, with some calling it a "disgusting decision" while others are offering up "fun alternatives" like Grand Prix World and Motorsport Manager PC.
