Fall Guys’ first official update is coming tomorrow with a brand new level.

What can we say other than COVID-19 is making party games an extremely sound investment. While Fall Guys bills itself as a battle royale, it’s really just a party game with knockout mechanics. You’ve only got three possible actions to take besides waddle your adorable little jelly bean around, which means Fall Guys has more in common with Mario Party than Apex Legends.

But one thing that Fall Guys has over Apex Legends is it’s getting new maps extremely soon after release. In fact, Mediatonic announced the game’s first update would arrive tomorrow with a bunch of bug fixes and a brand new final round level.

It’s called Jump Showdown, and it looks very similar to Jump Club with the exception that the bars are old and the color-coded platforms start falling away after a set period of time. Grab your opponents to trip them up and be ready to hop off the colored platform if it starts to rumble.

Jump Showdown seems tailor-made for final round knockouts, so expect only the best of the best to survive on this map.

In addition to the new map, Fall Guys' first update will also include several fixes to various bugs. Some crashes related to regional calendars have been fixed, as well as some of Fall Guys' server issues surrounding parties failing to join games. Some erratic physics at high framerates have been smoothed out, and previously undetected controllers on PC will be properly seen.

Also, Royal Fumble, the game where one player grows a raccoon tail and gets chased around an obstacle course, will be less likely to be drawn for the final knockout round.

You can read the full patch notes in a series of tweets following the big announcement of the new Jump Showdown. Fall Guys might be simple to learn, but it's definitely hard to master.
