Fall Guys release date on Xbox consoles and Switch has been indefinitely delayed. Originally slated to launch this summer, the team recently announced it needs a bit more time to get features such as cross-play functioning properly.

A new release date for the Xbox and Switch ports was not provided. However, Fall Guys plans to keep on track with Season 4.5 and bring two new Rounds to Fall Guys in the near future.

"With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we've realized that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we're working on," the team writes.

"While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we’re super grateful for your patience. This delay gives our team some time to add features like cross-play, so when we add new platforms, players will be able to stumble in harmony with their pals, regardless of their platform of choice."

Fall Guys might not be the pop culture powerhouse it was at launch, but it continues to see active development and boasts a dedicated player base. Earlier this month, an official Fall Guys toy and plushie lineup was announced by Moose Toys, offering up an adorable catalog filled with the costumed beans.

Fall Guys is currently available on PS4 and PC, with the Xbox and Switch ports delayed indefinitely.
