When you think back to Fallout: New Vegas, you probably remember the western, post-apocalyptic cowboy setting, with Powder Gangers running amuck, Caeser's Legion reborn as sports-outfitted crusaders, and the Strip where lonely survivors come to gamble their hard-earned caps away. Then there's the DLC.

One of which, Old World Blues, takes us to a science facility run by brains-in-jars with monitors featuring their eyes and lips, demanding we fight another brain-in-jar with monitors featuring their eyes and lips. It's chock full of retro-futuristic guns and gadgets, as well as a must-grab stealth suit for any sneak build. And one Fallout 4 modder has brought all that charm back.

"'A Taste of Blues" is a content pack mod inspired by the Fallout: New Vegas Old World Blues DLC featuring some familiar (and some new!) weapons, clothing, and items," the mod page reads. To play, you need the Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) and the Automatron DLC. With those in hand, you can dive into a new mini DLC-sized expansion.

The mod comes with new quests and dungeons, including a unique quest icon, 14 new weapons (and 16 variants), six new clothing and headwear types, seven new aid/misc items, 32 workshop items (which you get for beating the quest), two challenges from Old World Blues tied to Dr. Klein and Mobius, and over 40 rewards, recipes, and items.

Among these additions are the Sonic Emitter, X-2 Antenna, Big Mountain Transportalponder, Pulse Gun, K9000 Cyberdog Gun, and Foundry Jumpsuit. The weapons use already-present ammo types such as the .38 rounds and Fusion Cells to "avoid intrudocing new niche ammo types". And to make them fit better into the existing Fallout 4 world, their prices have also "been adjusted to avoid breaking the economy".

It's available on PC right now as well as Xbox. However, Xbox does not have F4SE which means that "The backpack for the K9000 Cyberdog Gun/FIDO/Champagne will not appear while you are wearing Power Armor." However, the mod is still playable.
