25 The Cryolator

Ironically enough this unique weapon in Fallout 4 can be found at the beginning of the game. However, players may be so focused on getting the hang of their character that they fail to explore the Overseer’s office thoroughly enough.

Return here to retrieve the weapon once you have master lockpicking skill levels. It shoots out cryo-energy much like a flamethrower throws out fire, and freezes enemies in their place. The Cryolator does 20 hits of damage.

24 Lorenzo’s Artifact Gun

This is a reward for a side quest you happen upon if you visit the Third Rail bar in Goodneighbor. Working for the Cabot family, you eventually discover their secret to immortality and have to end a crazed father attached to an ancient artifact to save the rest of the family. A week in the game goes by and the son will let you know he has a unique and rare weapon for you based on the artifact. It deals 28 hits of damage using gamma rounds.

23 Alien Blaster Pistol

As with all Fallout games, aliens have to come into play at some point. After either reaching level 20 with your character or discovering Vault 75, an alien ship will crash in the Commonwealth.

Start at Oberland Station, and head northeast until you find the crashed ship. Follow a trail to find the alien and a unique Fallout 4 weapon: the Alien Blaster Pistol. It deals 63 hits of damage but uses rare AB rounds, so use it sparingly.

22 Shishkebab

There are two ways you can gain this unique melee weapon in Fallout 4. Either you wait until a random legendary enemy drops it or you take on a mission for Abraham Finch, where you recover his family’s sword from Saugus Ironworks, then will give it to you as a reward.

The mission involves Finch’s son taking the sword to join these raiders, and you can either bring both the son and weapon back, or leave the son to his fate. It deals 31 hits of damage, and only weighs 3 lbs, so won’t take up much of your carrying weight.

21 Kremvh’s Tooth

A very rare and powerful melee weapon indeed, this weapon can be discovered at the very bottom of Dunwich Borers quarry.

Hinting at the series fascination with the HP Lovecraft and Cthulhu mythology, the weapon is found at the bottom of a pool in the caves, after witnessing a vision of cultists from before the bombs fell. Take off any power armor, as you’ll need to swim to retrieve it. It deals 49 hits of damage upon use.

20 Grognak’s Axe

One thing that is interesting about this game is that it seems to have several comic book influences. If you discover Hubris Comics while exploring the Commonwealth or you are given its location when working the Silver Shroud quests, this melee weapon has a damage of 37 per hit.

Based upon the infamous Grognak comics in the Fallout universe, the weapon lies in a glass case near the entrance, but be prepared to fight a horde of feral ghouls to get to it.

19 Furious Power Fist

Another unique melee weapon in Fallout 4, the Furious Power Fist does a damage of 57 per hit, and is more powerful than Grognak’s axe. However, acquiring it will be tricky, as it requires going up against one of the toughest enemies around the area of Diamond City.

Exploring the Boston Commons area, you will discover a location known as Swan’s Pond. There, a behemoth super mutant named Swan will emerge, and you will have to hit him with everything you have to acquire the weapon off its body.

18 Atom’s Judgement

Found after the Cappy in a Haystack quest, the quest’s originator Sierra will direct you to John-Caleb Bradberton’s office in the park. 13 Cito’s Shiny Slugger

A powerful and unique melee weapon discovered in Nuka World, it is a modified melee aluminum baseball bat with metal spikes and rockets attached to the weapon. It deals 56 hits of damage and can be found after completing the quest Safari Adventure.

In this quest, you meet a young man named Cito, whose parents were taken out years earlier and after wandering the wasteland happened upon a group of gorillas that survived the apocalypse. There he was raised as a child in a Tarzan like story, making him the gorilla’s protector.

12 Eddie’s Peace

This unique weapon is acquired as a result of a companion quest that will also gain their ultimate loyalty. You learn from Nick Valentine, the synth thrown away by the institute with the memories of an old private eye, that the original Nick had a wife or girlfriend who was taken out by crime boss Eddie Winter. Discovering him alive in a secret chamber, you take out Eddie together, gaining Nick’s loyalty and this weapon, which deals out 84 hits of damage using .44 ammo.

11 Justice

This weapon seems simple enough to obtain. A special shotgun that deals 78 hits of damage using shotgun shells, the weapon can be found in the mysterious town of Covenant.

You can purchase the weapon from the town’s store owner named Penny. However, due to the nefarious backstory of the town, there’s a chance Penny might be taken out in the game. Purchase the weapon before completing the quest for this town, otherwise, the weapon will be lost forever.

10 Reba II

A powerful .50 caliber hunting rifle, this unique weapon in Fallout 4 is discovered accidentally while happening upon the town of Salem. Overrun with mirelurks, you find the Rook family home, where Barney Rook, the self-proclaimed leader of the Salem Volunteer Militia, asks you to help him secure the town.

If you succeed, may be rewarded with the weapon. If you aren't, however, you can either pickpocket the door the weapon sits behind in the house, or end the life of Barney and steal his key to the door. It deals 147 hits of damage in the game.

9 The Gainer

This is one of the few instances in the game where it’ll take equal amounts of brainpower to acquire this weapon (as well as brawn). In order to acquire this powerful weapon, you’ll need to head to the Vitale Pumphouse, where you will have to solve a puzzle with the combination of 10-4-5-1.

The Gainer will be laying on the floor next to a skeleton. It deals 60 hits of damage utilizing .44 ammo rounds. It’s considered one of the more powerful handguns in the game.

8 The Last Minute

6 Prototype UP77 “Limitless Potential”

A very rare Fallout 4 weapon indeed, this energy weapon is tough to find. Dealing 18 hits of damage using energy cell ammo rounds, players have to get past an army of synths at University Point until they find the student credit union. Using a side door that leads to a bank vault, you’ll have to hack a novice terminal, then lockpick a master locked safe on the second row of the vault. That will allows you to hit a button that reveals a secret room, where the weapon will be waiting.
