Anyone who’s spent even a few hours in Appalachia will know Fusion Cores help make the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 76 go round. These powerful and long-lasting batteries power everything from generators to Power Armor and can even be overcharged to serve a double use as an explosive if needs be.

Given their value and versatility, it’s no wonder this high-end source of energy is in high demand amongst survivors in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. So, if you’re going to find enough Fusion Cores to suit your needs before other eager scavengers get to them, follow this guide to every possible Fusion Core location in Fallout 76.

Most Fusion Cores that can be found while freely exploring Appalachia are spread throughout The Forest region and more times than not you can find them powering fusion generators at these various abandoned establishments. What's more, there are some prime CAMP locations if you were looking to set up a local base for quicker scavenging.

As a disclaimer, it’s possible other players may have found some of these locations first. Furthermore, Fusion Cores aren’t exempt from the laws of gravity, meaning they could’ve shifted or fallen from the locations mentioned in this article.

Arktos Pharma

Arktos Pharma contains three Fusion Cores.

  • First, head to the loading bay where a Fusion Core powers the bay’s fusion generator.
  • Now ascend to the fourth floor and find the room positioned above the garage. It should have a bay window and a suit of Power Armor. To the right of the armor, a Fusion Core sits in a suspended cabinet on the wall
  • The third Fusion Core within this building sits on a counter in the same room depicted above.

The AVR Medical Center

The AVR Medical Center is located in the middle of Charleston not far from Relay Tower HG-B7-09.

  • You’ll find a Fusion Core powering a generator that sits beneath the cafeteria.

The Charleston Capital Building

The Charleston Capitol Building on the Eastern edge of town holds two Fusion Cores, both sit in fusion generators on the first floor.

  • One resides in a water-logged room in the Eastern wing.
  • Search for the other generator on the opposite end of the building, down the Western wing.

Bleeding Kate’s Grindhouse

Bleeding Kate’s Grindhouse sits to the East of Charleston, past the Capitol Building.

  • Inside you’ll find a movie screen along with the generator and the Fusion Core that powers it nearby.

Fujiniya Intelligence Center

Fujiniya Intelligence Center is located near Mama Dolce’s Food Processing Plant and holds one Fusion Core.

  • Head towards the stealth research facility and you’ll come across the generator room.
  • Inside, the Fusion Core is sitting in a console obscured by a pile of machinery.

Hornwright Industrial Headquarters

Hornwright Industrial Headquarters resides in the North of Charleston, between Charleston Station and Wade Airport.

  • Again inside a fusion generator, you’ll find this one on the highest floor of the headquarters.

Kanawha Nuka-Cola Plant

The Kanawha Nuka-Cola Plant is sat on the river bend where the Ohio and Kanawha rivers converge, and it’s certainly worth the visit with three Fusion Cores on the property.

  • The first is found on the factory level, inside a generator as you might’ve guessed.
  • The second is up on the roof.
  • The third you can find near the generator room, but you’ll have to find your way into the locked cage it sits in.

Mama Dolce’s Food Processing

Mama Dolce’s Food Processing plant is in Morgantown.

  • There is a little warehouse that borders the Southwest side of the factory where you’ll find a Fusion Core inside another generator.

Morgantown Airport

Up from Mama Dolce’s, Morgantown Airport is positioned on the Northern border of the town.

  • Again found inside a generator, this one can be found inside the “Bot Shop” hangar.

New River Gorge Bridge

The west side of the New River Gorge Bridge, up the road from Orwell Orchards, also has a Fusion Core, and this one is well hidden.

  • First, you’ll need to get through the bolted door on the western end of the bridge.
  • Upon entering you’ll find a storage room directly to the right.
  • A Fusion Core should be laying on the metal shelving inside.

Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06

To the Northwest of Charleston sits the Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06, which holds two Fusion Cores.

  • The first is down in the basement. You’ll need to unlock the room it is in and scour the cabinets. You should find it tucked away near a little blue basket.
  • The second is located within a workshop out in the yard. It should be sitting on a table if nothing has disturbed it.

Relay Tower EM-B1-27

Relay Tower EM-B1-27 lies down the road opposite Green County Lodge and the Flatwoods.

  • If it hasn’t fallen, the Fusion Core should be atop the central control panel.

Riverside Manor

The Riverside Manor is positioned at the crossroads between the Charleston Capitol Building and Bleeding Kate’s.

  • The basement of this manor comes equipped with a weapons bench and a nearby lab cart, on which you’ll find a Fusion Core along with the abandoned science equipment.

Wade Airport

Wade Airport sits on Charleston’s Northeast border.

  • You’ll find one Fusion Core lying on the desk up in the control tower if it hasn’t gotten knocked down.
Fallout 76 Sunset Woods Exploration With Ally

WV Lumber Co

WV Lumber Co. is stationed along the river well North of the Tyler County Dirt Track and Fairgrounds.

  • Starting on the first floor of the lumber mill in the western region of the yard, there is a tell-tale generator with a Fusion Core within.
  • The customized Limo is a good waypoint to the warehouse nearby that harbors another Fusion Core. It should be sitting on a desk inside to the left if no one has grabbed it yet.

There are a few Fusion Core locations throughout the other regions as well.

Big Bend Tunnel

The Big Bend Tunnel leads into the mountains Southwest of Watoga in the Cranberry Bog.

  • When you find a storage room occupied by the molerats, look for a fusion generator and there should be a core inside.

Fort Defiance

Fort Defiance sits on the other side of that mountain range, between Appalachian Antiques and the Monorail Elevator.

  • Climb to the third floor and break into the bolted armory. There should be a Fusion Core amongst the metal shelving.

The Sludge Works

You can find The Sludge Works in the same vicinity as the Abandoned Mineshafts and Rollin’s Work Camp in Appalachia's Ash Heap region.

  • Make your way east to the pier and you should find a Fusion Core tucked within a basket.

The Palace of The Winding Path

The Palace of The Winding Path is a beacon in Appalachia’s Savage Divide on the ledge near the Mole Miner’s Tunnel

  • Head down to the basement, and instead of residing inside of the generator, you’ll find a Fusion Core among the metal shelves nearby.
