Fallout 76 players are currently unable to log in across all platforms. Bethesda has shared in a tweet that it is aware of the issue, and is currently investigating.
Bethesda support has not provided any details on why this is happening, but thanks players for their patience. The account says it will share an update "as soon as one is available."
The issue was first reported on the official Fallout 76 subreddit. Some had guessed that this was ongoing scheduled maintenance, however the Bethesda website does not appear to have any scheduled. There is in fact maintenance being conducted on The Elder Scrolls: Legends today instead.
According to messages in the Fallout 76 Discord server, anyone currently logged in can continue playing just fine. This outage only affects those trying to get into the game, on any platform and apparently any region.
Other titles affected by the outage include Fallout 4 and Skyrim, in which the creation kit uploads are offline.
Today's outage isn't the only issue plaguing Fallout 76 as of late. Earlier this month, players started reporting that they were being kicked from the game as cheaters crash servers. Some in the subreddit still claim this is happening, with many calling the current state of the game "unplayable", and beg Bethesda to be more vigilant in banning hackers.
