Both of these items can be bought from doctors throughout the Commonwealth, and the easiest way to obtain them is by looting every medkit throughout the world. Players should make sure to have at least 10 of each of these present before ever stepping foot in the Glowing Sea.

8 Avoid Deathclaws And Radscorpions

Deathclaws and Radscorpions are two of the deadliest enemies that players can encounter in Fallout 4 both because they have a lot of health, and they deal a ton of damage to the player and their companion.

Players will inevitably encounter a bunch of Radscorpions and even Deathclaws while exploring the Glowing Sea, and it is important to avoid them instead of trying to fight them because they often travel in packs and where one is found there are surely more lurking in the shadows.

7 Bring A Minigun Or Other Fast Fire-Rate Weapon

Fallout 4 has a bunch of high fire-rate weapons, and it shouldn't be too difficult for the player to get their hands on one, but a trustee minigun or Gatling laser will always be the best in this regard. Stocking up on 5mm or fusion cores will also be important so that the player doesn't run out of ammo.

6 Explore Every Single Location

Every single location in the Glowing Sea has something of note, whether it be loot, an interesting backstory, or just an atmospheric tone.

Players may find that there are certain locations that aren't worth exploring, such as the abandoned shack or crashed plane; however, there are hidden things in both of these locations for players to find. Even if the location doesn't seem worthwhile, there's usually something of note hidden in every nook and cranny within the Glowing Sea.

5 Bring A Powerful Melee Weapon

It is important to bring a powerful gun, as previously mentioned. However, it is also important to bring a melee weapon in case the player runs out of ammo while in the middle of the Glowing Sea so that they can continue their adventure.

4 Don't Expect Traditional Quests

Traditional quests are not present in the glowing sea, with the exception of the main quest where players have to track down Virgil in his cave. Otherwise, there are no side quests to be found in the Glowing Sea.

With that being said, there are a bunch of interesting side stories to find out about through background storytelling when exploring the different locations that are found in this irradiated zone. It is important to know this before adventuring to the Glowing Sea so that the player doesn't attempt to look for quests that are not there.

3 Bring A Durable Companion

Durable companions will help the player survive the Glowing Sea because they have a lot of health and can act as a shield for the player.

The best companion to bring is one with a lot of health or one that is in Power Armor, including Paladin Danse; however, most companions can be put into a suit of Power Armor so the player can bring any companion they want. Also, pick up Dogmeat because that is an extra companion and can help defend the player.

2 Make Sure To Free Up Inventory Space

Before adventuring to the Glowing Sea, the player should always be sure to clear out their inventory so that they can pick up all the little trinkets that they find in this area of the wasteland.

In the glowing sea, the player will usually find different weapons, supplies, and junk to pick up, so it is important to make sure that there is at least 50 weight of inventory space free at all times.

1 Only Explore The Glowing Sea After Level 30 Or Higher

The Glowing Sea is a dangerous place that has many enemies that will be difficult to defeat without having the proper perks and amount of health.

The only way to get new perks is by leveling up, and as such, the player should only adventure there once they are around level 30; however, a better level would be 40 or 50. The higher the level, the better because the Glowing Sea is only worth exploring for true survivors.
