Far Cry 6 is set to launch next month, but Ubisoft is offering up a free copy of Far Cry 3 to help make the wait a bit easier. The promotion runs until September 11 – so head over to the Ubisoft Store and pick up one of the best entries in the series without dropping a dime.

You'll need to create an account, but once that's out of the way you'll be able to purchase the Standard Edition for the lovely price of $0.00. Typically sold for $19.99, that's not a bad deal. If you need a bit more Far Cry in your life, you can pick up the Deluxe Edition for $29.99.

Far Cry 3 sees you jumping into the shoes of Jason Brody after becoming stranded on an "island crawling with pirates." You'll need to free your friends, help the locals retake their island, and escape with all your fingers intact. It was an impressive game back when it launched in 2012 and holds up surprisingly well today.

Hopefully, the free game will be enough to keep you busy for a few more weeks as we patiently await the launch of Far Cry 6. The game isn't without its flaws, but it seems like fans of the series have plenty to be excited about.
