Far Cry 6 is a memorable entry in the series because it blends the fun elements the series is known for but adds a level of narrative meatiness that we have not seen before. A heads up before you continue with this article, there are some serious spoilers ahead.

9 "Rule Number 9: Always Use The Right Tool For The Job."

Juan in Far Cry 6

Juan shares this piece of advice early on in the game and repeats it to you several times. It is an obvious statement, but his words ring true, especially when you consider the gameplay.

One of the new mechanics in Far Cry 6 is weapon modifications, which will help you kill enemies more efficiently. If you use the wrong type of bullet, you might have trouble taking down an armored soldier. Hence Juan's advice, you should always use the right tool for the job.

8 "I Have Caught A Very Big Fish Today. Haven’t I Diego?"

Anton in Far Cry 6

When you first encounter Anton Castillo, face to face, he drops this bombshell of a line. He says it in a speech after he boards your refugee ship to America. Little did we know that his son Diego is also on this ship trying to escape his tyrannical father.

This speech solidifies his dominance over the country of Yara and the cold, animalistic view that he sees his people through.

7 "You’re The Lucky One Dani."

Dani in Far Cry 6

Lita utters these final words as she dies as a result of Anton destroying your boat to America. These words continue to haunt Dani as the sole survivor of the massacre. They also carry a certain amount of poetic weight as you unite Yara against Anton.

It's also a memorable quote because it inspires you to demolish Anton Castillo’s regime. The line can even be meta because Dani is the player character and therefore carries the obvious plot armor necessary for the game to exist.

6 "There Are Lions, And There Are Lambs. Rule, Or Be Ruled. A Castillo Must Be A Lion. For Yara Is Full Of Lambs."

Anton and Diego in Far Cry 6

The story of Far Cry 6 frequently cuts back to Anton Castillo and Diego. Often, these are moments when Anton is trying to teach Diego how to be a powerful Dictator.

This quote comes after Anton explains how his father admired Jesus for being both the lion and the lamb. As Anton explains, his mother disagreed with this philosophy and told Anton that he must be the lion because "the lion eats the ****ing lambs."

5 "It’s Easy To Talk Of ‘Family’, ‘Equality’ When You’re Not Running A Country. But When Your Revolution Is Over - Mine Won’t Have Even Started Yet."

Paulo in Far Cry 6

Paulo says this great line when he talks to Clara after pledging allegiance to Libertad. While Clara promises to free Yara, she neglects to consider that trans people will still need to fight for their rights in Yara. Yes, Clara may not be as evil as Castillo, but will Clara continue to fight for others after she is in power?

Clara promises Paulo that she will, but who knows if she meant it. This line stands out as it fleshes out the enormous complexity that comes with creating a new government. Sure, Libertad could save Yara from Anton Castillo, but one victory does not mean the battle is over.

4 "The Point Was Never To Kill Castillo. It Was To Free Yara."

Clara and Juan in Far Cry 6

One of the best characters in Far Cry 6 is Clara. She is the leader of the Libertad revolutionaries, but she comes from a background of privilege and education. Both the people of Yara and Clara believe that she is the one who should rule after Castillo because she was born to be a politician.

This position that Clara sees herself in does not always make sense from Dani's perspective. Later in the game, Clara explains that she is willing to negotiate with Anton instead of killing him. Dani believes that Anton must die for Yara to be free and argues against Clara’s reasoning. This quote is memorable because it highlights the grey area that Far Cry 6 explores rather than making the narrative a simple good versus evil plot.

3 "When Tyranny Is Law. Revolution Is Order."

Castillo's hideout in Far Cry 6

Dani says this to the rest of the Libertad allies at the end of the game and it stands out as a political statement. Moreover, it offers an insightful summary of the game’s themes.

The Far Cry games are famous for being chaotic, and this line funnels that gameplay concept into something meaningful. This quote brings up Far Cry 6's thesis that humanity is naturally chaotic, despite the societal urge to keep everything in order. And, perhaps acknowledging that aspect of ourselves might be the solution to making the world a better place.

2 "Once A Guerrilla, Always A Guerrilla."

Juan and Dani in Far Cry 6

There are a lot of parallels between Dani and Juan. Juan has been a Guerrilla fighter his whole life, whereas Dani is new at this whole revolution thing. Juan knows the troubled path that Dani is going down and says this quote to Dani when they wonder what to do next.

Juan knows that even after the revolution is over, Dani will always need to fight something. If they do not, then they have to think about how their actions.

1 "Lies."

Diego and Anton in Far Cry 6

There are major spoilers in this simple line so read on with caution.Anton Castillo says this after he asks you to protect his son Diego from the other revolutionaries. Dani says that they will, but Anton does not believe you. Then, calling back to one of his favorite repeated phrases in the game: Truth or Lies.

Anton mutters the word Lies before killing Diego. This heartbreaking moment and adds a whole level of complexity to the ending of the game. As a result, this one word will burn a permanent mark in your brain.
